Fantastic communication, started by me emailing​ 6 months ago about having cruise control fitted to my V40 2014 R Design. Every email had a prompt response by a very knowledgeable Paul. He gave me the price & it was too expensive for me to afford at the time.

At the start of this month I had the car at Volvo targets getting a wing mirror replaced under warranty (7 hours they had my car) and asked them about fitting cruise control. The receptionist was not very clear about price and she called the workshop for help, it would of been useful if the person would come speak to me but apparently he's not customer facing, anyway was £100 more!

So on Friday I knew I was off on Tuesday so called VolvoTech and asked if they could fit me in? Not a problem, asked for my car details to double check the price was still the same. I got a confirmation and turned up a 9am, and met Paul face to face who was very professional and friendly. He said it would take about 1.5 hours so I decided to wait in there sitting area. At 10am only an hour later he returned my keys with the job done!!

Would highly recommend Voltech to anyone who needs servicing or repair work on their car. Have been using Voltech for the last 4 years and cannot praise them enough. I've been driving Volvo's for 10 years and had a lot of issues with main dealer's, with the service they provide and the terrifying bills. Paul is always upfront about costs and I would say the only garage I have any kind of trust in.

Fantastic personal service where you never feel panicked due to impending bills! Clear technical explanation what your motor needs and your decision to go ahead...never a surprise bill and all at a quality and price that I doubt you could NOT beat in the UK never mind Glasgow area. If you have a new Volvo or an old one these guys know their stuff...go no where else...After problems in other garages due to lack of Volvo tech I found these guys and will be staying! Strongly recommend.

Second time i've taken my car to Voltech, first time was a minor problem, this time full service and MOT.

Having been attracted through the previous positive reviews I can only agree with them.

Unfortunately this visit was much more expensive than I'd have originally hoped - mainly due to short-fallings of previous generic local garages - but then that was the original reason for now taking the car to a specialist. Paul makes sure you understand everything he needs to do to the vehicle, why, and the costs associated and doesn't start work until you're happy with it. Invoice is broken down nicely into all parts and labour with individual costs.

Other benefits:
- When dropping the car off in the morning, Paul, without prompt, offered to drop me at the train station. Only a 10min walk but a very welcome gesture. Handy location in any case, 2 train stops away from Glasgow Central.
- Free hoover and clean out of the interior, and tyres freshened up with paint.
- Extremely knowledgable and friendly staff. Of the ones I've spoken to, they all appear to drive Volvos!
- Quick turnaround: dropped car off at 8am on the dot (added an MOT to the job list there and then without any hassle), had a phone-call by 10am with the low-down on all the work required. Car done and dusted just after 3pm and collected at 5pm. They are busy though - book in advance.

This will be my go-to place from now on, I feel as though i'm in safe hands - not something i'm used to with car garages! I'm sure a lot of us feel the same.
