I offer a premium online coaching service that will be structured around your goals, having years of practical experience in weight and fitness training.

Vw Physique Description

I am a personal trainer at Pure Gym Dundee.

I offer one to one, group sessions, indoor, and outdoor personal training session. These sessions will be based around your goals and you will achieve success.

Having recently graduated from Dundee University with a degree in Sports Bio Medicine I have the underpinning theoretical knowledge and can explain to you how exactly your body changes with exercise.

You don't need to eat chicken and sweet potato all day, trust me, and my clients will attest to that. We come up with an intake that works for them, their likes and dislikes, with the full consideration that most food sources need to be nutritious. # The majority of my clients run their own diet, I simply assess and offer feedback. At the end of the day, if we are dieting to extremities, it needs to be done in a way that makes it somewhat enjoyable. I've done 5 months of clea...n eating when prepping before and I was f**king miserable. # If you want to eat a bit of chocolate each day, and in doing so it stops you binging, go ahead. If you want to have pop tarts post workout because you enjoy that vs brown rice, I am all for it. Look around you, the ones making the MOST progress are the ones training the hardest but the smartest. # They will only be doing a handful of movement patterns across the week and looking to beat their log book each time. They will not deviate from the plan, they simply execute, session after session. # Whoever is telling you that you need to train differently every time your in the gym is also probably telling you eating carbs after 6pm is going to turn them straight to fat.... Before any anatomy police jump in, these views have largely come from personal experience and working with hundreds of people over the past 6 years. # 1. You can't place any load through your glute/hamstrings 2. You sit down for the majority of the day and when you get home at night thus decreasing muscle tone 3. You have never actually initiated with your glutes in the lengthened range, ever... 4. You're weak through lower posterior chain 5. You've got little muscularity around the knee 6. Because of the above you're quad dominant 7. Because of the above your quads overcompensate and get extremely tight, creating further imbalances as the hamstrings remain weak 8. Your biomechanics dictate you probably shouldn't be squatting 9. You're going below your active range and thus sheer force through the patella is very high 10. You've got far too much weight on the bar for how 'strong' you actually are # I can say all of the above because for the most part, they were all me, and getting my glutes/hamstring strong, pretty much irradiated the problem. Everyone in your class feels like they deserve it, everyone feel like they have worked harder than anyone else, everyone wants to do well. But by no means does that make you entitled. # We may see athletes frustrated after shows because they didn't place or felt the judging wasn't fair but here's the thing: none of this is within your control. We compete in a subjective sport. Also on any given day someone or some people can show up who are just down right better, in every wa...y. # 'Win or learn' that is the attitude I preach on my clients. And with every show, with every client, even after victories, we have learned how we could have been better. How we WILL be better next time. # If its the best package you brought to the stage, I don't care if you finish dead last, remind yourself all the reasons why you wanted to compete, be gracious, be thankful to share the stage with others, learn, and come back better.
