I knew American people ❤️ @outlander_starz and to prove it this is part of the advertising @jfkairport . I spent a week touring and meeting American 🇺🇸 walking guides. Now heading home to put my feet 🦶 up 🛫 . Looking forward to meeting everyone coming to find out more about our history. @ John F. Kennedy International Airport
Here are a couple of the last photos of #logiethelab doing what he loved ❤️best. I’ve put off telling you all but sadly, after a very short illness, Logie passed away last week. We are all 😞 so sad and will miss him terribly. If it hadn’t been for Logie keeping me fit 🐾 @walkinverness would never have happened. A big thank you to the lovely staff @crownvetsinverness for being there in our hour of need. 👩🏻⚕️💕 @ Fortrose & Rosemarkie
Yesterday Inverness was a sea of white 🏴and blue🏴as thousands of people from all over Scotland took to the streets for the Scottish Independence march. 🏴 @ Inverness
Tonight before you tuck into your haggis remember to say the Selkirk Grace. “Some hae meat 🥩 and canna eat, And some wad eat that want it, But we hae meat 🥩 and we can eat, Sae let the Lord be thankit “ 🥃 And vegetarian 🥕🥔🧅haggis is readily available and delicious😋 too.
Logie’s 🎤 singing “Loch Ness 🦕to the left of me, Caledonian Canal⛵️ to the right. Here I am stuck in the middle with you!”😂 #fridaymood
This imposing building is now the home of the executive office of The University of the Highlands and Islands #thinkuhi . 👩🎓🧑🏼🎓The building was for many years the Royal Northern Infirmary. Funding of £5000 was raised in 1797 to start the building of the hospital 🏥
Something to cheer you all up on Blue Monday. 😂💙
It’ll be fantastic for locals and visitors to get entry to these two amazing buildings 🏰🏛 👍🏻
Just before Christmas the front of St Andrews Cathedral had a clean 🧼 and you can now see how good it looks. Inverness Cathedral is a great place to visit and if you have time why not try the cafe☕️🧁 in the Old Boys School at the back of the building. @ Inverness Cathedral
Happy 2020 to everyone 🎇
On walks🚶🏽♂️🚶♀️ I’ve had so many reactions to the fact that the unicorn 🦄 is our National animal. From disbelief😲 to hysterical laughter 😂but it is true and here is why. 🦄🦁
Today is our shortest day. Visitors are always amazed by our long summer 🌦🌔nights, I always remind them that we have short winter 🥶 🔦days to compensate. The good news it that tomorrow the days will get longer 🌝👙😉
“Never mind the 🐬🐬dolphins- just throw my stick” says #logiethelab
Exam day for me! Just completed the written exam for my STGA Green Badge Tourist Guide Award😅 Phew! I think I did 👌 ok. If you want to test yourself here are a few questions I swatted up on but wasn’t asked- do you know the answers? Sir Charles Barry remodelled Dunrobbin Castle 🏰- what else did he build? What is a smolt? Where is the Beatrice wind farm? What and where is Dun Troddan? Let me know if you can get the answers 👍🏻 I feel a Christmas 🎄 Highland Quiz coming on🤔
Yesterday the Farmers Market was 20 years old🎂. The market is held the first Saturday of the month. 🥦🥔🍫🦐🐟 @ Inverness
Sometimes I have to leave the capital of the Highlands and visit other parts of Scotland🏴. A well known tonic wine has been used as #buckfast mulled wine 🍷 at this Glasgow Christmas Market. #itbeginningtolookalotlikechristmas
A great place to live and work❤️
