Wattfield Bc Description
Founded in 1882, Wattfield Bowling Club is situated in the heart of Ayr, on the west coast of Scotland. For over 135 years the club played host to many county & national tournaments whilst previous members have represented the club at various competitions at both a national & international level. The green is open 7 days a week from April until September with various friendly bounce games held during the week as well as club competitions every other Saturday. There is also the traditional ladies & gents Club Championship competitions & various other singles, pairs, triples & fours competitions. All members are able to compete in these tournaments if they so desire. There are also opportunities to represent the club in regional & national competitions & various friendly matches with other clubs during the season. Away from bowling the club host various events such as quiz nights, coffee mornings, Burns suppers, musical evenings & the ever popular end of season prize giving evening with musical & vocal entertainment from talented club members.
