Amazing venue. Review of The Mill Forge
... We had our wedding here on the 18/08/18 and every single second was an absolute joy. Weddings are their speciality and you can tell this from the professionalism and attention to detail, but at no time do you feel like you are just another couple getting married. They were there throughout the entire wedding planning process, offering support and assistance when needed, all of my questions answered quickly. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable and I was amazed by how good the blackout curtains are. I don't think that I have slept as well as I did during my 2 nights stay in years. The grounds are stunning. The pictures really don't do it justice. They have to be seen to be believed. Which leads me onto the chapel. It really is the stuff of fairy tales. So pretty and romantic. The second we stepped foot into the chapel 18 months ago, we knew that was where we would say our vows. The disco that wr had on the night was fantastic and a lot of fun but it was also lovely to be able to sit outside and talk. We had high expectations for our wedding and The Mill Forge not only met thise expectations but exceeded them. We couldn't be happier with how well the weekend went.All of our guests told us how impressed they were with our choice of venue. There is not a single negative thing that I can think of. Seeing is believing for this wonderful venue and it's amazing team of dedicated, friendly staff. Thank you so much, Mr and Mrs Maloney.

Our Wedding Review of The Mill Forge
... We picked the Mill Forge for our Wedding venue after looking at several venues in and around Gretna. We are an older couple and wanted things our way and not someone else's idea of what a wedding should be. Graham the owner put us at complete ease from the off. We opted for exclusive hire and by the time the wedding arrived everything we had wanted had been arranged without any stress whatsoever. Our Wedding was amazing, we had around 50 guests and a fair few kids amongst them. The staff were fab before, during and after the wedding and as we all stayed 2 nights we know how important that is. The food was consistently good throughout our stay and as a former cook, I know how hard it is to get it right consistently. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff from housekeeping either, anything that was asked for was met with a"Yes" and it would arrive straight away. All of our guests have commented as to what an absolute find the Mill is. Our wedding photos are lovely, as all of the outside areas are so well maintained and looked after, that certainly shows through on the photos. Our guests were also very pleased that the Bar Tariff was not as horrendously over priced as a lot of hotels are. All in all everyone and ourselves were exceptionally impressed with Graham and all his fab staff at the Mill Forge , must give a special shout out to Jack too, hospitality at its finest. The Mill Forge can have several weddings a week but at no time do you feel like you a part of a well rehearsed show. The Chapel is perfect for small and larger weddings, Sandy our minister was an absolute delight, you felt like you had known him forever as he put you at ease immediately on meeting with him.

We had our wedding at the Mill Forge yesterday 28th July and it was truly amazing. It was everything I wished for and more. All the staff were fantastic and the food was amazing. I'd like to thank Margaret (the bar manager) for helping my husband and all the groomsmen with there button holes. I can't remember the lady's name who helped me into my dress but she was fantastic and kept me calm. Defiantly will be going back for our anniversary. We had our wedding at The Mill Forge a week ago, on bank holiday Monday, 28th May 2018. What a wonderful day! The venue is fabulous, and the staff friendly, helpful and attentive. Our bridal suite was stunning. I would love to repeat the day all over again as it was such an amazing day. All our guests said they had a great time at a glorious venue. A massive thank you to The Mill Forge from Newly weds Paul and Karen Saunders x

We got married on the 2nd August 2018 at the Mill Forge. We booked the ceremony only package as we hoped to elope and go home shortly afterwards. The staff were all lovely on booking it and were very approachable. Nothing was too much trouble and they responded to any emails I had quickly and very thoroughly.

We arrived and checked in and the staff particularly Margaret at the reception was very welcoming and again nothing was too much trouble. We had 2 rooms. The rooms were spacious like little cabins and the bathrooms were great. No complaints at all spotlessly clean. We slept well.

Breakfast was great too.

Someone came to take the groom from his room 15 minutes before to meet the registrar then came to collect the bride. The little ceremony hall was lovely with candlelight. Lovely atmosphere and the grounds had lots of areas for photos afterwards.

Overall we had a great experience and I highly recommend the Mill Forge. Thank you very much.

Special thanks must go to Liz, Jamie, Audrey & Jack. The venue is amazing but the staff really do make it a once in a lifetime experience. Nothing is too much trouble and on the day they ensure everything runs smoothly without being intrusive. They made us both feel so relaxed and at ease, allowing us to fully enjoy our day.

We got married here on Wednesday the 1st of August. I cant praise the staff enough they are just amazing. So helpful from answering questions in the past 12 months via phone calls and messenger to the time we arrived. They made every aspect run smooth and be special. Special thanks to Liz for allowing us to hang dresses and suits in the bridal suite on the monday which was such a huge help. The whole of Grahams (the manager) team work so hard to make each bride and groom feel special.

We got married here on Saturday 24th February 2018 and it was the most beautiful wedding day we could of wished for!!

This venue is truly the most incredible place we have ever been to - every single member of staff is beyond amazing, they made you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them! Margaret & Audrey we’re especially friendly and so great with our 4 year old son.

Every one of our guests had a fab time and not one complaint was heard or made by any of us. Our wedding ran like clockwork, they are in complete control and make you feel at total ease.

Due to working long hours on the run up to the date we wasnt able to visit prior to the event.

All, myself and the whole wedding party can say is WOW.

The staff are all excellent, extremely polite and happy & cheerful.

The venue was amazing,the bridal suite was out of this world.

They made the day from start to finish and it all went without a hitch.

Great freindly and very hard working staff, nothing was too much trouble, food was great, the family room we was in extremley comfy, spotlessly clean and spacious. The wedding was amazing too!
