Unique, handcrafted, animals and birds, needle felted from pure new wool, designed and created by Lavinia Kilbride in the heart of Scotland

My showcase of animals and birds have been needle felted from Shetland wool, with everyone individually designed and handcrafted. These collectable crafts are all made from natural fibres, special commissions can be done to customers specifications. Wee woolies are easy to send in the post as they are lightweight and the Scottie dogs in particular have been sent all over the world. A dog can take on average 3 hours to create as they are created with combed wool using a barbed needle which is stabbed into the wool to allow it to knit together eventually creating the shapes. Due to the nature of the wool these are unsuitable for children under the age of 36months but can still be used on top of their birthday cake!
