My 11 VW polos timing chain snapped yes you heard snapped while I was driving with no warning. Massively noise from the engine bay and total losss of power. This in turn blew my cylinder head bent all the valves broke the camshaft and blew the pistons. Basically blew my engine up,

Now the car is still pretty new with under 70,000 miles and with full service history, the car was very well looked after.

I contacted them with regards to the issue and to see if they could help, and all the customer advisers I chatted to on gh phone had no clue what I was talking about.

When I got someone that knew what I was talking about, he didn’t care in the slightest basically told me that they could fix it for £4000-£6000. Didn’t want to help me with why it happened to such a new car and with low millage.

In the end I know very honest local mechanic who managed to get me a replacement engine and fitted for under £1800.

My Advice is that they are only after you cash not interested in providing customer services.

I bought a replacement VW badge costing £70 for my golf from here and simply asked if they knew a method that would help remove the old badge as it's stiffly affixed by tight sticker to the hood. The staff member wasn't interested and told me to book it in for 30 minutes at £75 to get that advice. Quick enough to take the £70 for the sticker though!

Got my new Touran here. Cant fault the sales staff. My rep was Dennis who excellent. Kept us frequently updated with actual videos explaining how the order was progressing right up to delivery day. Top blole & rep. Only issue with this showroom is onsite parking or lack of. It's manic and getting a space is rare, Should really look to expand, The lack of parking more than likely puts people off.

Under 1-year warranty. Guess what - they don't cover most the faults! Beware, you will have to pay for most of the stuff even the car is faulty and you are under warranty. It's a word game they play. Guess every customer need to read every line in the contract before you sign, there are traps.

Not used a main dealer for years and it wasn't great. Poor communication on the day, nobody calls back and a very expensive service. I'm used to dealing with local garages who send an invoice which I asked for, I was surprised to be told you only get the car back when you pay up in full right that minute. Fair enough, my fault and normal business I'm sure but just not something I'm used to. Trying to be balanced, the pick up and drop off service is good and staff broadly helpful.

Extremely fast at taking the booking to fix the booth catch which was broken. But then problems started, took the car at 8am never heard anything until nearly 1pm, they gave me the list of things to do which weren't nowhere near what I asked to do, change of the brakes fluid because was old (changed in January), a bolt missing on the engine (£50 for a bolt yes you saw it right), rear tires worn at the sides (the mechanic changed them in January again), and so on. All the necessary things to push the final bill as high as possible with a tone that if I don't fix it, will be dangerous. Total £240 for a bolt, brake fluid and the the actual catch of the booth. Not impressed at all if it where for them I would have spent hundreds more. Ah forgot to say that the day service ended up being the day after because the actual vw garage did not have the catch of the booth, how many different booth catches does vw make? A different one each model? Also is extremely messy, so overcrowded with cars that there is no space whatsoever. Ah lastly they should tell the person that calls asking for feedback that most customers are not deaf, so no need to yell over the phone and mostly no leading the customer to say that the service is when when is actually shite!

First up - I'd recommend a Volkswagen to anyone, but do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere..

Unfortunately my experience of service here has decreased over the last 3 years. Try could not have been less helpful when my lease ended and no one was apparently bothered enough to help me buy a Golf when I went looking. Servicing the car was even patchy; no one was able to find anything wrong with my handbrake despite several complaints, until they were able to start charging off plan of course! The handbrake never was quite right, I'm quite dubious that they carried out the work they said they did to be honest. It will probably take several months to get a courtesy car for a your service too.

Emails and phone calls to this place will be ignored in my experience and no one will even be gracious or apologize for this lack of service.

Again, I reiterate, I think Volkswagen make fantastic cars but I'll not buy another from this dealer.

Billy looked after us well with no pressure. Delighted with my Golf

Worst customer care ever. One year on, and still waiting for paperwork for my car. They might have the VW badge, but these people are worse than the worst back street second hand car dealer. AWFUL AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED. AVOID!
