- Apple and Ginger Old Fashioned. . By request, we have Westmount’s rendition of the Old Fashioned. This cocktail includes fresh Apple slices and root ginger to give it a seasonal spice, and a touch of fresh vanilla extract for a bit of sweetness! Definitely didn’t expect this to work as well as it did and it’s currently chilling in the fridge for this evening’s nightcap. 🍸 . • 2oz bourbon whiskey... • 1 barspoon of vanilla extract • 3 apple slices • grated root ginger • 2 dashes of bitters . Muddle Apple slices with vanilla and ginger. Add bourbon whiskey and stir for 10-15 seconds. Serve in a rocks glass and garnish with an apple slice.
