Wetherspoon

Busy, city pub. Fast service. Good prices. In the old Trustee Savings Bank building. Not the most elegant of Wetherspoons pubs, but cheap and cheerful, good value, no music. Well-trained, efficient staff, clean toilets.

Foods OK but there isn't enough staff and with the lack of staff comes the lack of keeping on top of the tables and watching those beer pumps ; they had run out of all draught lagers Barr 1 and general upkeep took a toll.
Been 3 nights on the trot and still the same!
If this place needs to look for sister Wetherspoons to take examples from then take a look at the Coaster Inn Blackpool.. Very smart and fresh looking with attentive service.

Great food great atmosphere, eating every Tuesday! But for goodness sake do something with mans toilets. Only first one on the left is in good shape, unfortunately was blocked today. Nr 2 no toilet seat at all... Nr 3 broken toilet seat i was surfing on the toilet.. as I needed to...
They should be checked, as your pub can accommodate a lot of people!

Sound place. Lovely food and we'll presented. Should have a spotter for people leaving there table as sometimes left to clean them yourself. Otherwise very good!!!! Yummy

Will not be returning. Been here now 3 times, all of which I am unhappy with. The first time I go with two friends, all of which we are served at different times, each of us finished our food by the time the next person is served, we all had wraps. I myself am a chef but anyone knows how quickly it takes to make a wrap. The second time I have the same again and they give me the wrong kind. The third time I wait in the queue at the bar for 15 minutes and there's only 3 people in front of me, the bartender was so Un interested,had such an attitude and was very slow. I had a chicken Caesar salad as there was no fish left and I am brought bagged lettuce with some chicken chunks that were completely dry. My friends burger was half an hour late, had to ask for it again and came out stone cold. The place is an absolute tip, glasses everywhere, never seen the tables being cleaned once, not even menus on half the tables. Such a shame because it was once a very nice place to go, the menu is widely ranged and it is in a lovely location. Would like to see it run better in the future.

Usual wetherspoons, good selection of drinks and standard menu

Ordered medium steak and it was very very overcooked, told the waiter and 15mimutes after a new steak came, overcooked again, tomato raw, peas hard as bullets and mushroom cremated. Nevertheless he chips lovely.

I have ordered steaks here before and they were very very dry too. I gave up with steaks in this place.

Food has been getting worse for the last few months.

Manager should have checked our table to make sure the second steak was fine and we were happy but instead empty plates were left on our table for more than 40mins.

Normal 'spoons prices and lack of obnoxious music with the addition of a lovely view and a couple of dart boards

Very interesting building with plenty of character but a bit scruffy on the Friday afternoon we were in. Typical 'Spoons with good selection of food and drink at reasonable prices.
