This was a rather disappointing experience.
I had the traditional haggis (with neeps and tatties) at the Whiski Rooms -which touts itself as "one of the best places to have haggis in all of Edinburgh".
I NEVER had anything more flavourless than this, even a boiled loaf of white bread might have had more flavour. This haggis really tasted like nothing at all, quite bizarre.
My friend ordered a burger which was delivered extremely burnt and dry, without him ever being asked about how he likes it done.
Appetizers were miniscule, and what was being advertised as prawns were actually just 4 small shrimps.
Their mission is "to be as Scottish as possible". Thinking of these shrimps, this seems to be true - but only in regards to their frugality ...

Excellent food, friendly staff particularly Lucie. First experience of Haggis , delicious. Incredible range of whisky to choose from.

Waitress was very helpful in choosing whiskey (of which there's a vast selection) and gave friendly service. Food was amazing, as were the whiskeys - try the flights for something different or if you're unsure what to get.
Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a taste of Scotland. I'm thinking of excuses to go back!

The waiting staff were very friendly, always smiling and relaxed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and the decorations were very charming.
The food was great quality, every dish our party ordered was excellent. Would definitely recommend their steaks and the haggis.
The menu wasn't cheap, however the quality of the food and service was definitely worth it.

You'll definitely want to make a reservation. The food is good, especially the desert. Unfortunately we had a really long wait (there were 5 of us and it took over 40 minutes to get our food after we ordered) but the staff and service over all was really good. We just did a whiskey flight but they do offer whiskey tasting. Overall we were happy with the experience.

This is the best place in Edinburgh to bring a whisky loving tourist who wants a fun, educational, delicious and authentic Scottish experience. Introductory tasting is relatively cheap considering that you get a flight of whiskies and a one hour talk. Very interesting. A fantastic gift idea.

Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff. Know all there is to know about their whisky. I'm one of flights and drink options, even if you don't want whisky. I feel they could have given less alcohol for the flights; you get 4 full glasses, which is a lot for one person, as you understand the taste with half as much. But they had a great variety
