Whistlefield Inn

Beautiful inn , inside and out. Very friendly staff with great food. Fish lovers try the Smoked Haddock fish and chips its brilliant. On entering the well appointed bar area is comfortable and spacey. Beyond the bar area is a superb restaurent with lovely views towards Loch Eck. Pop in for a beer food or soft drink etc. Dont think you will be disappointed with venue.

CLOSED DOWN. I booked (and paid for in advance) a short stay for my mother & her partner here. They have turned up today to find an empty car-park and a locked-up hotel with a printed sign stuck on the door stating that "Due to unforeseen circumstances Whistlefield Inn will be closed indefinitely". So it seems as though the hotel has shut down permanently. Despite having my mother's contact details they were not even contacted to let them know in advance of turning up on the doorstep - HOW RUDE!!

Nice relaxed place, very good food and a very good non-alcoholic beer!

We arrived late on night one, 00:15, due to awful traffic from Birmingham. The staff were very friendly and stayed late for us. The room was very cosy feeling, with all the amenities required. In the morning, we had the continental breakfast. It was a great way to start the day. When we arrived back for night two, the evening meal was superb also. Staff were always easy to deal with and aided in any queries we had. I would recommend this Inn, and this part of the world to anyone. Well done Whistlefield Inn!

Nice inn with good food. Worth booking as they get booked up fully during busy times. Bar staff seem overly busy and rushed off their feet with work and are a mix of friendly and indifferent.

There's a large-ish carpark around the back which takes a little more time than you'd think to get to. The front has very limited parking.

Great wee hotel set in a stunning location. The rooms are cosey and newly decorated, while the bar/restaurant serves fantastic food. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, and happy to suggest things to do in and around the local area. We would definitely stay again, and would recommend the hotel and restaurant to others!
