Me and my girl Nadine come here almost on a weekly basis. The beer garden is amazing that’s where we meet all our friends to laugh and cry after a long week at work. The cocktails are class they are some of the strongest in Edinburgh, the music is quite good too I often find myself bobbing and weaving to the beat of the DJs chosen soundtrack of the night, and the crowd are good looking like us and we like it that way. It’s not the Ritz, but it’s not The Hive. 4/5 for us. See you there this Saturday for some quality banter.

Head security guard is extremely racist did let my friends and I in for no reason claiming that we are drunk when In fact we did not drink anything then the following day he didn’t let us in claiming that we were rude the day before it. (This was the head security guard)

Baddest bouncers i have ever Seen before. They threw you out 2 minutes After paying the entry, without any reason. Security destroys the reputation of the Club. I will Never ever visit this Club before the Security gets fired!

I brought my student ID and was denied the student discount (I paid £7 entry fee and £1 cloak room) while all my friends behind me got the £5 student discount. We had sleezy "business men" trying to constantly rub themselves against us, and they were trying to pick fights with us too. My friend got kicked out because she and another girl were kissing (I didn't know you can't be any form of LGBTQ+ to be at the club...) and we're just blamed for "being too drunk" even though they were nearly sober. The only good service I had was at the bar...after all the other "important looking business men" and unless I was one of "their women" I waited an eternity to get served water. Seems like the perfect place for this businessmen but everyone is considered trash.

It would be nice if this club puts more specific entry guidelines, such as, you won't be allowed in the club, if:
- your obese.
- you lack a sense of humor.
- you look gay.
- you wear contact lenses.

just anything. don't waste peoples' time booking and confirming. then rejecting them at the door, I understand it is an exciting part of the Security personnel's job. but it might come off as offending to some individuals.

Suggestion:
Why not make it a members only club. and have an interviewing process to get membership. seriously that might work.
I'd actually think of applying if you would do that!

Big venue with reasonable quality/price drinks and electronic music. The place was over crowded around 1am. VIP area and others dance floors where I didn't have the chance to see. In general I came say that it was good

The music is great. The club it self is crowded like hell. The drinks are amazing and the price for them is ok for the quality that you are getting. The area is small and then there are a lot of people the club it's a/c doesn't keep up hence you getting sweaty and just don't want to dance. Would recommend to give it a shot through.

The most honest review you could get about Whynot. On all my nights in Edinburgh, I've never been treated as bad as I was at Whynot, The workers are very racist and do not care about their customers. Why would you want a night where you spend all your money and get kicked out for being completely sober because of your Color? Profession ? for what reason? At a normal club, if you are singled out for being too drunk or any reason, you are told to wait for 10mins to sober up, but in my case even without being drunk, I was given no option, I even asked to get my friends but I was refused even with proof that I didn't have a phone on me to call. I had no keys to get into my flat and no friends, I spent hours begging to get my friends but they didn't consider to even help. I was basically stranded because of a bunch of racist
This isn't the first time this is happening, on a different night sometime last year, my friend was kicked out cause she was completely drunk (she actually was) After checking on my friend for a minute to see if she was fine i tried going back into the club so i could get my other friends and my stuff so we could leave, but i wasn't let in for no damn reason (didn't know you were not allowed to step out of a club). This was confusing to me because I wasn't even kicked out and even with explaining that to them they still wouldn't let me in, so I just asked for my stuff and they literally just shoved it up in my face and in anger I argued and I got pushed by one of the bouncers.
