Was here yesterday. Took my mum as she's always going on about afternoon tea. Was very busy and we hadn't booked but we where seated straight away and served very quickly. The manager was attending to us and was she lovely! Very attentive and talkative, made us feel comfortable and asked about our visit to Glasgow and told us of places to go for drinks as we where staying in Glasgow for the night. Will be back again.

User

The willow tea rooms is a wonderful place to visit, the food is excellent and its always very welcoming and friendly. It's very relaxing and a nice place to chat over lunch in lovely surroundings. The staff are very friendly, chatty and tentative. Service is always excellent. The manager Joanne has a huge personality and makes you want to go back, after you have been once you feel like you are considered a friend. I would definitely recommend you visit the willow tea rooms in Buchanan Street, you are assured a warm welcome.

User

The afternoon tea was lovely. Beautiful decor. If anything I would have liked more sandwiches. The staff was very friendly. Would highly recommend this.

User

My friend and myself went to the tea room in Buchannan Street yesterday, the service was very good, the food was excellent. We will call again.

User

My SIL recommended the Willow Tea Rooms so we made a reservation upon arrival to Glasgow. Luckily, they had room for us at our requested time. We were seated quickly and by a window. The tea room is charming and quaint. Our server was prompt, informative and kind. My daughter and I had the afternoon tea for two with finger sandwiches, scones and cake. We both loved it! The chamomile tea was delicious and our food as well. We were impressed how busy it was and our food still came out quickly. My recommendation is to call ahead for a reservation. It's a wonderful place to sip tea, nibble treats and chat.

User

Best raspberry jam I've tasted for a long time. Lovely to see loose tea too..

We called in for tea and cake..I had the scone with jam...and it was excellent.. Husband liked the lemon drizzle cake...Very busy but staff coped well..all were smiling and polite..swift service.

User

1st time I have ever been with my daughter, definitely will be back, from waiting to be seated, served and leaving, staff are professional, chatty, welcoming. We had the best seat (table 26). Seated at the dead end, beautiful pictures and memories of Rennie MacIntosh, lovely view of Buchanan street. Our waitress, was lovely and very helpful, also the dark haired lady (said she worked in the gift shop) what a lovely lady, funny, chatty, welcoming and run off her feet (all the staff were) first class service to all the staff. You really need to book, as it’s busy busy, you will get seated, just need to wait. Fantastic service and a lovely cafe. See you soon

User

Never disappointed, it was very busy and had to wait for a table, however, well worth the wait.

User

I booked a table here for my sisters 40th birthday, hoping for something little bit special in such a lovely setting. I requested if a candle could be put in one of the cakes just as a wee extra touch. I was told yes we can do that for you no problem ...didn’t happen. I felt that as we had booked the table it would be set for arrival, this was not the case.

Felt that for the price we paid per person there would have been a better selection of sandwiches, and more than a teaspoon full of clotted cream between three.

No one came to us through our lunch to ask if everything was ok ...until getting ready to leave. The lady that come over was pleasant and tried to encourage us to take what was left home! But then asked me when my baby was due?!? ...I am not pregnant, and found this VERY embarrassing and upsetting.

Think staff training might be required.

On the plus side the cheese cake was lovely.

User

Went yesterday lunchtime because I’ve always wanted to go there. The only thing Charles Rennie MacKintosh style is the high backed chairs. The food was okay but a bit overpriced for what you get. Upstairs is lovely which I found out when going to the toilets. The toilet I used on the right must have been a converted cupboard but didn’t see in the other toilets so they could have been bigger.

Overall it was okay but wouldn’t go back again.

User

We visited this venue yesterday. Was rather disappointed to be honest. It was very busy and we were seated as quickly as possible. I was disappointed with the food, even after sending it back to the kitchen. Also it was very cold, there seemed to be a cold draft through the dining area. A real shame as we were very excited to have lunch here.

User

Service was very poor had to ask 3 times for my lunch. Waited over half an hour for it.

User

Buchanan St branch. Bit disappointing. Waited a while for our afternoon tea. Sandwiches were a mix of triangles and fingers and crusts left on. Only six small on the stand, then a girl rushed over with another two! Scones were nice but not nearly enough jam and cream for two. I asked for extra cream and got literally a teaspoonful. Strawberry tart good, carrot cake burnt. 'butter shortbread' was button sized.Tea was very good and plentiful. Staff were pleasant, but At 12.95 each, felt slightly short-changed.
