Jade's a trooper. Lots of effort, a few nights out, but some really good results had. :)
Here's Jade's story.
"Before X-fit, I was generally a fit person but would go through stages of being active for a few months and then doing nothing for a few months. My issue was finding something I enjoyed and sticking to it.
... I previously tried slimming world to lose some weight. It did work, but I was so focused on losing weight that I didn't want to exercise because it made me out weight on according to the scales.
The results so far working with x-fit have been great. Even on the days when I can't be bothered, I still go and get a buzz from the classes. Having started with the 6 week challenge, my body shape totally changed. I feel amazing after the workouts.
For anyone thats considering working with x-fit I would say why not?! What have you got to lose? Once you're there you'll get hooked and wish you'd done it sooner.

How amazing does our Jo look here?
Sheā€™s been training with us for 2 years now, has learned to dead lift after having pretty bad back pain and has lifted double her body weight, can do 5 pull ups and in general just learned a lot about how to manage lifestyle, and how sheā€™s put up with us who knows but hereā€™s what she has to say about us :)
ā€œI basically went to the gym and only used a handful of items of equipment (purely because I knew how too) and as a result any workouts ...I did were extremely boring and tedious.
For a few years I would go for a run a few times a week but this resulted in me having problems with my back so I stopped running and I joined a gym because I felt I should be doing something but wasn't really enjoying it and as a result didn't get a huge benefit from it.
So many results šŸ™‚ Increased fitness, knowledge, confidence and engagement, a complete change to body shape and understanding everything else which contributes to a much healthier lifestyle.
The atmosphere is great, it's not a faddy gym with lots of posers.
The staff are fantastic - very knowledgeable, helpful and approachable. They help push you and more often than not you get a better workout in than you would have done. They are always on hand with advice, whether it's to do with training, food or other general queries they go out out their way to give as much info. as possible.
The other members are also lovely and everyone is always so friendly.
I'm now fitter and more confident with my body image than I have ever been in my life. The fact that there is flexibility in classes/times etc. means I can schedule for times that best suit me and I don't have to miss out on training when something comes up which is a huge benefit.ā€
If youā€™re thinking about starting hereā€™s what jo thinks you should do if youā€™re sitting on the fence.
ā€œ100% Do it - it will be the best thing you can do to help you make a positive change. It might not be the easiest thing at first but once you start seeing the benefits there will be no stopping you... Also, as getting/keeping fit goes - it's actually kinda fun (mostly) šŸ™‚ā€

Before I started working with X-Fit I was feeling totally unfit and unhealthy to the point it was making me feel ill. Iā€™d tried all sorts of workouts and diets but found nothing that I enjoyed enough to stay motivated. Iā€™ve been a member of every local gym and was a member of 2 gyms right before joining X-Fit. Paid memberships for both for years and didnā€™t ever go to either.
Iā€™ve had amazing results so far. My main goal was simply to get fitter and feel healthier but not only do I feel fitter and healthier than I have in years, Iā€™ve lost lots of weight, most of my aches and pains from old injuries are gone and I donā€™t have to take painkillers anymore.

Iā€™d totally recommend that anyone considering working with X-Fit gets in touch and gives it a go. Itā€™s completely different from any other gym Iā€™ve been to, and Iā€™ve been to a lot (and pretty much hated them all). The coaches are amazing and provide continuous guidance and support to make sure youā€™re doing everything properly, you donā€™t hurt yourself and are getting the most out of your workout and enjoy it. The classes are great because they arenā€™t overcrowded and you can totally go at your own pace. Thereā€™s no need to feel self-conscious either, everyone is there for the same reason and nobody cares if you look like a sweaty mess šŸ™‚
X-Fit is awesome and Iā€™m so glad I joined. Iā€™ve only been a member for just under 4 months and canā€™t believe how much Iā€™ve managed to change in such a short space of time. Iā€™m now looking forward to becoming the healthiest and strongest version of myself that I can be!

Chelsea. "The girl that complains and hates the gym ā€œ but not anymore.
She's absolutely rocked her 6 weeks, losing 15 lbs and making a big change to shape in her body. šŸ™‚
Here's what Chelsea took the time to write about the gym.
... I wasnā€™t really exercising before x-fit, I had a gym membership but it wasnā€™t being used and when I did go it was a 45 minute cardio sessions or spin class. I didnā€™t have a lot of knowledge of what I should be doing and just continued to do what I had always done but Iā€™m not 21 anymore and exercises that helped me before werenā€™t working as my body/ metabolism has changed so I need extra advice and support.
Iā€™ve done loads of quick diets for holidays but after having two babies I was definitely the biggest Iā€™ve ever been! And as a student doing placement at the hospital I knew nightshifts and overeating were my problem so I needed a diet plan and fitness routine that I would stick to.
I actually didnā€™t mind going to this gym and I started in April and although I wasnā€™t seeing weight loss results right away- my body was changing and once I paired it with the 6 week diet plan Ive lost 15lbs and completely changed body shape. Iā€™ve also found a gym that I am managing to go to in-between studying, kids and shift working.
Itā€™s a small gym so when you walk in they know your name and enquire about how youā€™re doing, you also get to know the people in your classes and it becomes a good support network.
Ive never done weight lifting before and I enjoy seeing the progress, the classes are always changing and are interesting, and I am the biggest complainer EVER and the coaches put up with me!
What would you say about people thinking about starting?
Just start! I remember I enquired 3-4x and I finally just went to a class and I have made it every week since I joined in April and I am not one to stick to plans/diets but I do enjoy coming to the gym and seeing progress is enough to keep anyone going.

X-fit just has it all ļæ½ great equipment that u dont see in alot of gyms which makes your workout that more enjoyable... fab personal trainers who are all very friendly and more than happy to give you advice on your goals... the class sessions are just amazing, not only do u get a workout that really pushes u individually but you have a laugh with everyone and we all support and encourage each other its not just a gym its more like a big wacky family ļæ½

What can you say about a gym, I mean honestly, theyā€™re all the same. Same kit, same look, same classes.

Unfortunately for other gyms they donā€™t have Ru or Matt. Other trainers are available too but Iā€™ve not worked with any of them so canā€™t really comment.



I worked with Matt when he was at Pure and canā€™t imagine a better PT to work with, and was delighted to hook up with him here again after a bit of a lay off.

Ru has also been a great help over the last few weeks and the difference that working with both has made has been remarkable.



So while all gyms might share common elements, they donā€™t all have great PTā€™s or even good PTā€™s. They donā€™t all tailor fitness to ability, mobility, age or aspiration.

These guys do, and deliver.



I canā€™t recommend this place enough. A true home of fitness and wellbeing.

What a great gym! Everyone is so friendly and helpful - I never thought Iā€™d actually enjoy being at the gym for 6am, but I did. The coaches really know there stuff and my technique has improved so much on some of the lifts and can see the real change in my body - if you want results, this is your place!

Well, where do I start? X-Fit Gym is one of the best around. Staff and Personal Trainers are very friendly and will assist you in anything that you require be it advice on eating to best exercises for something specific. Gym is ideally located not far for the centre of Paisley so access is easy to get too. Has all types of equipment to engage whatever type of fitness that you require. Group classes are performed at various times of the day and at perfect times of the day so that it does not interfere with your normal day2day life/work. I currently have a PT from X-Fit who is very responsive in one to one chat be it in person or via social media to any problems or queries that I have. Well done on setting up an excellent studio.

Well thatā€™s my 6 week challenge completed. I can honestly say itā€™s one of the best things I have ever done. I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to lose weight, get fitter and work out in a great environment where everyone makes you feel so welcome. The team at X FIT are amazing. So helpful and very motivational. I would like to say a special thanks to Robert Rankine and Ru Pinkerton. Both of whom have been inspirational. Robertā€¦. You taught me there is no such word as ā€œcantā€ and that anything is possible. The classes are brilliant but brutal! All the exercises and training are tailored to your needs and as the classes are so varied you donā€™t get bored. As well as the exercise programme you are given an eating plan and the instructors really do take the time out to explain the theory behind nutrition. They are with you every step of the way offering words of encouragement and 1-2-1 advice and support. Itā€™s been so good that I have already signed up for my next 10 weeks!

So, 6 weeks done and dusted, and, Iā€™m pretty pumped to say I smashed my target and have slapped on 21lbs in 6 weeks with a drop of 6% body fat!

I donā€™t really work in pounds but that is a shift from 80.4kg to 90kg, a gain of just under 10kg in 6 weeks!!

Usually I would sign up for these things and go for maybe 1 or 2 weeks and give up but I looked forward to the classes with Ru and his team and I cannot say thank you enough. The advice and support has been phenomenal and yea, I struggled with the rigid food plan and went off plan a few times but even so, I can still see a huge difference in myself, lost a lot of weight which before I struggled to do and I am learning things I never thought I could. The sessions are challenging but achievable and after the first week could really start to see my fitness levels improve!



After a pretty awful year I feel stronger mentally and physically and can only credit that to every trainer at X-Fit and all the guys in my class. The banter is what gets you through!

I've been a member for 3 months and it's hard to express how different this time has been from any other previous gym experience. I was always reluctant to go to a gym, preferring to work out at home where possible, but I have been converted! I've had a couple of private sessions with Matt who assessed my technique at various lifts and has drawn up a tailored programme which has been challenging but enjoyable. There is always a member of the team around to help out with equipment or give tips on technique in a friendly and helpful manner. In my 3 short months I have seen an improvement in my strength and flexibility. I have also gained 6lb but lost at least 1" off my waist with a noticeable improvement in muscle definition. If you are looking around for a gym get yourself down to X-Fit and have a chat with Ru or any of the team - you won't find a better gym!

I have tried a million diets, been to various gyms, but Xfit has been my success story. Finished 6week challenge, lost 18lbs and my clothes are too big. I am part of the 6 week challenge taking part in group personal training sessions 3 times a week for 6 weeks with coach Ru and i am loving it... as much as you can love a hard workout session! The private gym that Ru runs is fully equipped with excellent equipment and has everything you need in a gym to train.



I love the group personal training sessions, although they are tough, an hour here makes me work harder than I would have done during a 2 hour session in the gym on my own. We all have a private page on Facebook to note down our reps and weights used in the different activities which is great as we can keep track on improving week after week and see our progress grow! I have a simple meal plan to follow and online links to recipes. Itā€™s great to work with other people in the gym as alongside Ru as we motivate each other and you always know that you can contact Ru, Dizzy or any other staff member and they are happy to guide you on what to eat or any question you may have.



My fitness levels have improved, Iā€™ve lost 3% body fat in 2 weeks something that i thought id never achieve. Our whole Tuesday group are a great group of people and im sure after this experience will be pestering Ru for more classes, which I think is a great testimony to what an excellent trainer Ru is! Bring on the next 4 weeks!

Having just completed my 6 week Boot camp at the gym with ru I am a different person. I cannot believe the difference 6 weeks can make. What I can do now that I would have laughed at the thought of being able to do 6 weeks ago. Huge weight loss in those 6 weeks and lots of support from all the team. I'm not going to lie, it was hard going and in week 1 I thought I'd made a huge mistake as I'd never undertaken anything like this before but I am so glad to have stuck it out. Down two jeans sizes in those 6 weeks and have signed up for another two months of fun and accomplishments. All the instructors are amazing. Great job.

Excellent gym the guys and girls are so helpful they really know what they are doing. It's fun and very up beat gym all hours of the day. The staff are so motivated and it really does rub of on you they want to see you progress they encourage you they pay attention and work to each individual's strengths and work with you to achieve your best at all times. The set up is amazing I especially love the tyre rolling at 6am. So glad I found this diamond of a gym ļæ½ļæ½

Best gym I have ever joined. Everyone is super friendly. The personal trainers are great, always there with help and support any time of day. There is lots of equipment/classes to choose from. The membership is not over expensive and it is always clean and tidy. One of the main things for me is my confidence, I always felt intimidated at other gyms but not this one.

I am part of the 6 week challenge taking part in group personal training sessions 3 times a week for 6 weeks with coach Ru and i am loving it... as much as you can love a hard workout session! The private gym that Ru runs is fully equipped with excellent equipment and has everything you need in a gym to train.



I love the group personal training sessions, although they are tough, an hour here makes me work harder than I would have done during a 2 hour session in the gym on my own. We all have a private page on Facebook to note down our reps and weights used in the different activities which is great as we can keep track on improving week after week and see our progress grow! I have a simple meal plan to follow and online links to recipes. Itā€™s great to work with other people in the gym as alongside Ru as we motivate each other and you always know that you can contact Ru, Dizzy or any other staff member and they are happy to guide you on what to eat or any question you may have.



My fitness levels have improved, Iā€™ve lost 3% body fat in 2 weeks something that i thought id never achieve. Our whole Tuesday group are a great group of people and im sure after this experience will be pestering Ru for more classes, which I think is a great testimony to what an excellent trainer Ru is! Bring on the next 4 weeks!

Having just completed my 6 week Boot camp at the gym with ru I am a different person. I cannot believe the difference 6 weeks can make. What I can do now that I would have laughed at the thought of being able to do 6 weeks ago. Huge weight loss in those 6 weeks and lots of support from all the team. I'm not going to lie, it was hard going and in week 1 I thought I'd made a huge mistake as I'd never undertaken anything like this before but I am so glad to have stuck it out. Down two jeans sizes in those 6 weeks and have signed up for another two months of fun and accomplishments. All the instructors are amazing. Great job.

Excellent gym the guys and girls are so helpful they really know what they are doing. It's fun and very up beat gym all hours of the day. The staff are so motivated and it really does rub of on you they want to see you progress they encourage you they pay attention and work to each individual's strengths and work with you to achieve your best at all times. The set up is amazing I especially love the tyre rolling at 6am. So glad I found this diamond of a gym ļæ½ļæ½

Best gym I have ever joined. Everyone is super friendly. The personal trainers are great, always there with help and support any time of day. There is lots of equipment/classes to choose from. The membership is not over expensive and it is always clean and tidy. One of the main things for me is my confidence, I always felt intimidated at other gyms but not this one.

X-fit just has it all ļæ½ great equipment that u dont see in alot of gyms which makes your workout that more enjoyable... fab personal trainers who are all very friendly and more than happy to give you advice on your goals... the class sessions are just amazing, not only do u get a workout that really pushes u individually but you have a laugh with everyone and we all support and encourage each other its not just a gym its more like a big wacky family ļæ½

What can you say about a gym, I mean honestly, theyā€™re all the same. Same kit, same look, same classes.

Unfortunately for other gyms they donā€™t have Ru or Matt. Other trainers are available too but Iā€™ve not worked with any of them so canā€™t really comment.



I worked with Matt when he was at Pure and canā€™t imagine a better PT to work with, and was delighted to hook up with him here again after a bit of a lay off.

Ru has also been a great help over the last few weeks and the difference that working with both has made has been remarkable.



So while all gyms might share common elements, they donā€™t all have great PTā€™s or even good PTā€™s. They donā€™t all tailor fitness to ability, mobility, age or aspiration.

These guys do, and deliver.



I canā€™t recommend this place enough. A true home of fitness and wellbeing.

What a great gym! Everyone is so friendly and helpful - I never thought Iā€™d actually enjoy being at the gym for 6am, but I did. The coaches really know there stuff and my technique has improved so much on some of the lifts and can see the real change in my body - if you want results, this is your place!

Well, where do I start? X-Fit Gym is one of the best around. Staff and Personal Trainers are very friendly and will assist you in anything that you require be it advice on eating to best exercises for something specific. Gym is ideally located not far for the centre of Paisley so access is easy to get too. Has all types of equipment to engage whatever type of fitness that you require. Group classes are performed at various times of the day and at perfect times of the day so that it does not interfere with your normal day2day life/work. I currently have a PT from X-Fit who is very responsive in one to one chat be it in person or via social media to any problems or queries that I have. Well done on setting up an excellent studio.

Well thatā€™s my 6 week challenge completed. I can honestly say itā€™s one of the best things I have ever done. I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to lose weight, get fitter and work out in a great environment where everyone makes you feel so welcome. The team at X FIT are amazing. So helpful and very motivational. I would like to say a special thanks to Robert Rankine and Ru Pinkerton. Both of whom have been inspirational. Robertā€¦. You taught me there is no such word as ā€œcantā€ and that anything is possible. The classes are brilliant but brutal! All the exercises and training are tailored to your needs and as the classes are so varied you donā€™t get bored. As well as the exercise programme you are given an eating plan and the instructors really do take the time out to explain the theory behind nutrition. They are with you every step of the way offering words of encouragement and 1-2-1 advice and support. Itā€™s been so good that I have already signed up for my next 10 weeks!

So, 6 weeks done and dusted, and, Iā€™m pretty pumped to say I smashed my target and have slapped on 21lbs in 6 weeks with a drop of 6% body fat!

I donā€™t really work in pounds but that is a shift from 80.4kg to 90kg, a gain of just under 10kg in 6 weeks!!

Usually I would sign up for these things and go for maybe 1 or 2 weeks and give up but I looked forward to the classes with Ru and his team and I cannot say thank you enough. The advice and support has been phenomenal and yea, I struggled with the rigid food plan and went off plan a few times but even so, I can still see a huge difference in myself, lost a lot of weight which before I struggled to do and I am learning things I never thought I could. Just completed the 6 Week Challenge and signing up was definitely up there with my best decisions! Not normally a gym goer at all and more of a 'wee walk to exercise' kind of girl but this has completely changed my opinion!



The sessions are challenging but achievable and after the first week could really start to see my fitness levels improve!



After a pretty awful year I feel stronger mentally and physically and can only credit that to every trainer at X-Fit and all the guys in my class. The banter is what gets you through!



My outlook on my diet and work life balance has completely changed in such a short space of time and I can't wait to keep up my X-Fit journey! 15lbs down and could not be happier, thanks guys :)

Iā€™ve just finished the 6 week challenge and couldnā€™t be happier with the results! I was so scared when I first joined that I wouldnā€™t be able to do it but everyone made me feel so welcome and there was plenty of help when it was needed. In the last 6 weeks Iā€™ve lost 25lbs and gained some really good friends that I am going to stay on for the next few months with :) Never thought Iā€™d be the person tagging herself in at the gym on a Friday night, how things have changed!

I've been a member for 3 months and it's hard to express how different this time has been from any other previous gym experience. I was always reluctant to go to a gym, preferring to work out at home where possible, but I have been converted! I've had a couple of private sessions with Matt who assessed my technique at various lifts and has drawn up a tailored programme which has been challenging but enjoyable. There is always a member of the team around to help out with equipment or give tips on technique in a friendly and helpful manner. In my 3 short months I have seen an improvement in my strength and flexibility. I have also gained 6lb but lost at least 1" off my waist with a noticeable improvement in muscle definition. If you are looking around for a gym get yourself down to X-Fit and have a chat with Ru or any of the team - you won't find a better gym!

I have tried a million diets, been to various gyms, but Xfit has been my success story. Finished 6week challenge, lost 18lbs and my clothes are too big.
