Typical Scottish weather, one mention of a BBQ and it rains! However our bodies aren't made from sugar so we won't melt and our skin is waterproof so we are going ahead! 😁
We have our conservatory and lounge areas too so full set up is underway!

Went for a meal last night and the food was excellent - mains were piping hot and tasted amazing. Puddings were massive and lovely!

We go quite regularly and this was definitely the best food we’ve had 👍

User

Was here for my lunch yesterday and my meal was excellent could not fault it in any way also the service was excellent.

User

Lovely local pub and very friendly and helpful staff always accomadating for any occasion, nice beer garden for that lovely summers day or relax in the conservatory and catch up with friends, i love a Saturday's entertainment thats on every so often great way to meet new faces.

User

Great find for some food before heading to Murrayfield. Massive portions and great price. The cod father was enough for 2. Great atmosphere and huge garden too.

User

Family Friendly and lovely outdoor seating area with small playpark for the children to play !Loved the steak pie thank you !

Booked a table some weeks ago for my mother in laws 80th Birthday. Turned up tonight only to find that we were in the conservatory, huddled round a table with no space between the table behind us. Staff, customers and children trying to get past us! Thankfully we only had a drink as there was no way we could enjoy a meal! It just wasn't happening! Manager said she was doing all she could to get us another table. So not good enough! Past it by then. Even had to pay for the drinks! Very poor. Oh and yes was being told "that we are very busy". Not my problem! You expect to go out for a meal and to enjoy it without being asked "excuse me" every few minutes! Not much to ask! All in all very disappointing! From a very anoid and disgruntled customer who most certainly will not be back. First and last time! Oh and by the way the Manager did say to apologise to my mother in law so I guess that makes everything ok. I think not! Mrs M signing off because she's had enough!

User

Best pub and staff so friendly, always pleasant. Food not your microwave crap fresh, tasty and not expensive really good value and portions big.

User

Amazing chicken fajitas and the burgers are great too Always have a lovely meal when we go.

User

Always a great place to eat as a family or relax and have a drink with friends! Highly recommended! Food is always great and service from the staff is always welcoming and friendly, even when it's busy! I've been going there since I was a little girl and now I bring my very own family to enjoy the open space with park for the kids and the beer garden for me to enjoy a nice cold drink. Thanks guys xx

User

A lovely friendly pub, staff very helpful and attentive, lovely fire burning great as it was miserable outside, had the steak and ale pie, mashed potatoes, veg, it was delicious ate it all and really enjoyed it. Would definitely go back.

User

A lovely cosy welcome with the smell of Xmas in the air. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Great selection of wine and prices really reasonable. Family friendly too with a great outdoor space......I will be a regular

User

Went in for a meal, service was quick considering it was very busy at the time. Food was very good, would reccomend this place...

User

My first visit was terrific. Beautiful meal in front of the open fire. However the second visit was very disappointing. At the same time as two of our party were served their main course, the third was informed that their meal hadn't been started. Due to the length of the cooking time they were encouraged to choose something else. Needless to say - we were finished and they ate on their own. No apology was given. No discount was offered.

User

My favourite place in Davidson mains!

User

Good brilliant and staff friendly

Good value for money.

As it says it’s Ye old inn so don’t look for modern furniture. It’s timed decor which fits with the name and gives great atmosphere. Good for kids with a fantastic beer garden

User

Came for a meal with family, staff where well organised and friendly and food was great. Only reason it wasn't 5 was food was delivered seperate and one had to wait while others tucked in. Would recommend it.

User

Thought we'd scored today when I found what Ye Olde Inn dub 'Hanging Kebabs', basically their take on the traditional Portuguese Espetada, which I absolutely love! So no discussion, I had the beef and Sue the chicken 'Hanging Kebab', together with a Satay 'Sopping Sauce'. Sounded delicious, unfortunately the reality was rather different. Served luke warm, with a rather congealed satay sauce, and a cold side plate, also with standard rather than steak knives with which to tuck in, this fell far short of expectation. £9.95 well spent? Er...no!

On the plus side, service was friendly and good, and the beer was cold.

User

Disappointed, wife had fish and chips and apart from tartar sauce and a bit of lemon that was it for £9.95 poor value for money a bit of salad and some garden peas wouldn’t have ate into the profit margin that much, I had the roast beef dinner which again was poor value at £11.95 aunt bessie frozen roasties and four types of frozen veg dauphinois wasn’t too bad Yorkshire pud was terrible I have been in the trade myself for 20 years and do a roast dinner with fresh mash and home made roasts and four fresh veg for £7.00 and still make a profit. On the up side the staff were great but no excuse for using frozen veg when charging at that level

User

Was very much looking forward to my visit but was dissapointed that all the food, and we had 3 courses was frozen food. I personally hate nothing more than frozen garlic mushrooms & frozen chips. Staff were lovely though.
