....Anthea's excellence as Teacher/Guru , flows naturally into the very well equipped and beautifully appointed Studio , and is correspondingly complemented by the skills of her fellow Practitioners . Something for everyone here - Body and Soul......

Claire's yin class on a Sunday is a great way to end the week. Claire has given me the space and confidence to listen to what my body needs from my practice. She guides you through the postures, always reinforcing one of her mantras; it's your body, it's your practice, you know it best.
The online class means you can use all the props you have, if that's what you want, and stay cosy at home once practice is finished.

Good variety of classes (online and in person) with really friendly and helpful teachers.

Claire Rodgers is a brilliant yoga teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable, and her classes suit all levels of student. First class at all the breathing techniques and how yoga can heal; as well as all the postures and sequences. Claire is friendly and her classes are fun too. All the teachers at Yoga Healing are outstanding and so beneficial for your well being in mind and body.

I regularly go to the seasonal yoga classes taught by Anna and absolutely love it. Anna is so patient and a great teacher. In this class elements change with the seasons however there is a regular yoga routine at the core. It’s so nice to have the balance of familiarity with learning something new at different times of the year. I really feel like Anna goes out of her way to make the class accessible for all levels and gives handy alternatives if you have say, a sore back, or knee, or whatever.

Over the years Yoga Healing Studio has taught me yoga is for everybody, big, small, stressed, calm, fit, not so fit, your yoga practice is just for you and the teachers here help to make it work for you.

During lock down, the zoom classes felt like a real community and it was great to try out new classes and different yoga styles. I also love the yin yoga classes toward the end of the week. The perfect wind down.

Yoga Healing Glasgow is a beautiful and intimate space that holds you in your practice. Anthea is warm and welcoming and the whole studio is held by that heart energy. I have been going here regularly for 4 months now and have had an incredible initiation into Yoga.

My first visit was last year for a special event of Prayanama Yoga and Singing Bowls. I have attended Restorative Yoga and Intermediate Yoga classes with Anthea, Chakra Balancing and Inversion Immersion workshops with Claire Rodgers.

Anthea masterfully weaves prayanama, meditation and instruction with yoga sequence so that all of your being flows into a practice fully embodying the many aspects of yoga.

The restorative yoga classes are gentle and and the flow gives you the time and space to settle into your body and to develop an awareness of your body. Through this practice I am becoming more conscious of breath, I am becoming aware of sensations in my body and listening to what each sensation communicates, I am learning to release tension, to open and deeply relax. Anthea imparts her knowledge of the practice and benefits to make these classes particularly educational. These classes are healing and are good for rehabilitation, relaxation and gentle exercise that gives a good workout so they are suitable for everyone of all ages, abilities and interest.

The Intermediate yoga classes are challenging, strengthening and energising. I am improving my balance and becoming more supple. I feel stronger and am improving my posture and fluidity of movement. Often I feel a release of deeply held tensions melt away during practice and I leave feeling invigorated and energised.

Anthea is very attentive and will give postural adjustments and support you in holding a posture as you push yourself further so that your practice is progressive.

Claire Rodgers Chakra Balancing classes are educational as she imparts her knowledge of psychology and posture in relation to the Chakras. Her guidance encourages you to sense the flow of energy through the body and how the functioning of Chakras and flow of energy influences your psychology, how you may feel and behave. Claire encourages personal development with this knowledge and yoga practice.

The Inversion Immersion was a workshop that has introduced inversions such as the head stand to me. The first workshop has focused on the strengthening practices that lead to the full inversions. It has been a great foundational practice and I know that with Claire's tuition I can reach for that goal.

Claire's classes are a supportive environment where you are expertly guided throughout your practice and she will give adjustments to your posture and encourage you to progress.

The students at this studio are friendly and will talk away with you as soon as you arrive, I have felt very welcomed by them. I feel very fortunate to have discovered Yoga Healing Glasgow, it is a healing experience and I feel very supported and encouraged to progress.

I've been going to the restorative Yoga class on a Monday morning for about 18 months and really enjoy it. Anthea is a great teacher who always teaches a different class so it never gets dull.

I had 1-2-1 yoga sessions with Anthea Simpson for many years and enjoyed all of it. Anthea's blend of yoga postures, knowledge of anatomy and deep understanding of the mind/body/spirit allowed me to go from someone who could not even sit cross legged or kneel to be able to do all of that. She has a compassionate nature, is very empathetic and intuitive. I would recommend Anthea Simpson to anyone considering 1-2-1 at Yoga Healing Glasgow. I have also enjoyed her Restorative Yoga classes.

A lovely wee studio, friendly instructors and equipment is provided. I have been using this studio for over a year and have seen real progress with my Yoga. Classes are available for all levels and equipment is provided. I would especially recommend Hatha Yoga followed by Meditation on a Monday night with Alison.

It,s difficult to put into words to express what a special studio and great yoga teacher Anthea is. She makes everyone feel comfortable, explains and break down all the postures, whilst challenging you but also makes it fun. After I had an operation Anthea with her knowledge and expertise built strength and flexibility back into my body. There is something for everyone from beginner to advanced and I would recommend this to anyone. I will be forever grateful I have found this special teacher and studio.

User

I highly recommend this fantastic studio. Yoga Healing has varied classes which will suit your ability or preference, skilled instructors and a friendly atmosphere in class. The instruction and support that I have received has allowed me to progress my Yoga practice and stretched what I believe I can achieve.
