About Young Communist League Scotland
The Young Communist League is the Marxist-Leninist youth wing of the Communist Party of Britain.
Reviews
Glasgow branch's Industrial Organiser Morgan Horn in the Morning Star today, discussing how by focusing on large workplaces where the membership stacks up, trade unions are failing to organise young people effectively, since most of us no longer work in large factories or heavy industry.
This year, the Young Communist League is putting it's weight behind efforts to build industrial unity and collective power in the industries we do work in - often scattered and precarious - ...by drawing on the action based and hard hitting strategy of the Communist Party at its industrial peak in the late 1960s and 70s.
These are tactics and strategies that can once again be seen in organisations like BetterThanZero and Sheffield Needs a Pay Rise - uniting different workplaces in a common industry for direct action.

Anti SDL demo Edinburgh The SDL plan to march from Market street at Waverley station to the Scottish Parliament at 13:30. We the YCL in Scotland need to be there in strong numbers to take out multiple roles on the day. 1. Be in the counter demo alongside anti SDL demonstrators. 2. Block the SDL from marching through Edinburgh. ... 3. Stop them with other methods. The last time when the SDL were in Glasgow we had scouts looking out for the fash and also leafleting the public with details of convicted SDL paedos.
YCL Glasgow will be making a banner for the counter demonstration plus bringing some flags and maybe some pyrotechnics. If the other branches Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee bring their own flags if possible, this would be helpful.
All friends and supporters of the Communist Party and the YCL are welcome.
