I am a reiki practitioner based on the A596 between Wigton and Waverton, Cumbria. There is free parking in the lane beside my studio.

I am a member of the UK Reiki Federation and am accredited by the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council.

Reiki is a natural technique for relaxation and stress reduction which helps create an improved sense of well-being.

It is based on the idea that life force energy flows through the body, but it may become blocked by physical or emotional stresses. Reiki enhances the flow of energy through the body and can help boost the immune system.

Anyone may benefit from Reiki at any time. It is gentle and non-invasive. It can be given alongside conventional treatments and is used in hospitals, hospices and cancer therapy centres. It may help reduce anxiety, create deep relaxation and enhance everyday living.

You can receive Reiki sitting but generally people find it more relaxing to lie down. What is important is that you are warm and comfortable. There is no need to remove any clothing other than your shoes.

Everyone’s experience of receiving Reiki is different, however common sensations are to feel warmth or mild tingling in the body.

A session will usually last between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
