About Youth Inspired Sports

We specialise in bringing quality, enjoyable sports coaching sessions to children of primary school age

Youth Inspired Sports Description

Youth Inspired sports exists to help tackle childhood obesity and improve sporting education for primary school age children.

We specialise in bringing quality, enjoyable sports coaching sessions to children of primary school age as to
improve their health, social confidence, life time participation in healthy living, sporting potential
and the importance of eating well.

Our after school club is designed to be a consistent health and sports education for 5 - 11 year olds, for children to both enjoy and start learning valuable life lessons from an early age. We believe it is important to instil good healthy habits from a young age and that children benefit greatly from being introduced to a variety of sports from a young age instead of from high school onwards. The club runs three days a week Monday - Wednesday and Thursday after schools. We have put on a taxi service to pick up children after school to benefit working parents so that they don't have to leave work to pick up children after school, parents can be safe in the knowledge that their children are safe and enjoying themselves whilst participating in something good for them. The club runs from 3: 30 - 5: 30 where parents can pick up the children after work.

We have accredited coaches in our Lichfield after schools club using programmes specifically designed for 5 - 11 year old's by the governing bodies of six of the nation’s major sports. We try to encourage children to partake in sport either by our after schoolclub or by teaching their PE lessons in Primary school. We want children to enjoy their lessons, as well as learn the very basic skill set needed to play sports from a younger age. The programmes are designed to progressively teach children such skills from an early age. Children of all abilities can take part, which is enabled through fostering cultures of fun, enjoyment and involvement. Strategies include rotating children from position to position in quick and fun versions of the sports, which progress with age. Programmes also encourage social development with their peers, as well as providing nutritional understanding of fruits and vegetables. Our coaches will bring in different fruits for the children to try midway thought their lesson, as well as children's basic nutritional learning based on fun word games and mini activities normally ran on the Wednesday. This introduce them to a variety of food which, perhaps, they haven't tried before, helping pupils to create good habits and highlighting the importance of healthy eating from a young age.

We run and deliver an overall program three days a week at our after school club so that the benefits are for both the children and parrents. The children are picked up after school by our taxi service so the parrents working hours aren't effected. Also our programme of PE lessons will meet all the criteria with the Physical Fitness and Dietary Aspects of Ofsted's new framework on health and well-being.
