Zen Oriental

Don’t normally review but was expecting something much better than what arrived. Ordered two different dishes, sweet and sour chicken and crispy chilli beef, both were very bland and soggy. Very unpleasant, would recommend not eating at this establishment.

Booked a table 2 weeks ago and turned away due to a private function. Poor service. A call or email would have been appreciated.

Not one for posting reviews .Food was pretty terrible it was very bland and staff are rude and if you question anything the young lady manager shouts at you and tells you that's how it is.
Seen the way she treated customers who were clearly out celebrating a birthday and she practically told them your not allowed to complain and if you do then cross her at her peril.
It was only the 4th time I've been there and would not go back as was average at best on all other occasions.
Hopefully the manager reads this and realizes she could have been a bit more helpful when a customer complains.

Ordered via deliveroo, food was bland and soggy. Struggled to differentiate between my wife's Sweet and Sour and my Kung Po. Chicken was well cooked but at the high cost for the dishes I expected something a lot better. Shame the dishes looked nothing like their photos.

Food was bland with several dishes tasting almost identical. Service was quite attentive. Dated and very tired decor (brown parcel tape on chairs). Looks like every other venue owned by the same group.

A good Chinese restaurant, it's down some steps to get in.
Portion size is good, although rice between two is probably a good idea if having three course and there is lots of choice, great specials available too.
Being part of a larger restaurant group they have a better than usual drinks selection and wine list than you might expect from a Chinese restaraunt

I really love chinese food and Zen Oriental does not disappoint - tasty food attractively presented. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing.
