Looks like Gandalf and Co will be heading to Scotland this year to begin filming the most expensive TV series ever produced.
Amazon’s new £1bn LORD OF THE RINGS series is expected to begin filming later this year, with producers having scouted the entire country for possible locations.
... After the success of Outlaw King and Mary Queen of Scots, it looks like even busier times are ahead for the Scottish film industry.

Our new movie A Christmas Carol (Directed by David Izatt) will be released tomorrow on iTunes in the UK (and also in several countries around the world, including Australia, Canada, USA, UK, Middle East, Turkey and a number of others).
Here's the official poster and tomorrow we have something 'extra special', a slightly darker version of the trailer just for you right here on the Zoghogg page.
... After all, Dickens' didn't write a comedy - his book contained horror, terror, and of course gothic elements, so hopefully this movie has the right blend just for you :)
But that's not all, this week will see the release of something else related to the film...

BROKEN - Our short film just won 'Best Film' at the Direct Monthly Film Festival. Well done team :)

ONE LAST DANCE IN THE SUN
This short film based on the last moments of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is the third of a little (unrelated) trilogy that includes our previous films “The Arrival of Harvey Di Maria” and “Four Black Bags and a Spade”
Those of you who have followed those crazy little films (which are really just snippets into larger worlds) will know what to expect. This time around however 'One Last Dance in the Sun' is actor Chris Capaldi’s directorial debut.... Chris has been involved in so many of our projects alongside resident cinematographer Thomas Dobbie, that it was only a matter of time before he jumped behind the camera. What better way to have your debut being a western as well? Oh what fun we all had.
Written by David Izatt and Directed by Chris, this film also features the talents of d'Onno Les Amis (horses), Eugene Horan (Bolivian General’s voice), Jack Fox (VFX), Katherine Rufli (Music Score) and Will Morton (Sound Design).

A little bit different this one. Back in January myself (David Izatt) and Chris Capaldi arranged to shoot some extra material for his acting showreel. Being a good lad, he turned up with a mixed bag of props in freezing conditions in his shorts (it had been snowing all morning)!! We headed out to a nearby woodland and spent the best part of 3hrs shooting what you’re about to see. It was never actually intended to be a film - how could it when we only shot for a couple of hour...s one Saturday with a cast of one (Chris) and a crew of one (Me). But when it came to the edit, (the first cut was a mammoth 14mins long) it sort of worked. Joshua Macrae’s haunting score helps it along nicely. It feels almost experimental and I guess in some ways it is (a ‘how to make a film in 3hrs’ experiment maybe). So anyway, take it for what it is and enjoy (hopefully)…
