Protein, Carbs, Fat even Alcohol, how many calories do they have?
A calorie is a calorie, no matter where you get it from . A calorie from sugar is no different to a calorie from protein when you are talking about total calorie intake. As you can see you get pretty much the same number of calories from protein and carbohydrates (which sugar fits under).
But of course you will benefit more with protein than sugar for several health reason.

You name the diet or fitness programme and I’ve tried it, probably more than once.... nothing has ever been long term and I’ve always ended up “back on the diet”.... until I came to 1st4fitness....Paul, Hannah and Louise are amazing, have completely changed the way I think about food and excersize and even myself.... I used to almost cry every time I saw myself looking back in the mirror... and whilst I’m not there yet.... I’m liking what I see much more.... its a long term solution not a quick fix.... you need to want to change yourself.... and if you do this is the place to come....... it’s addictive and once you start you’ll just want to keep coming back... the team here have helped me so much more than to just lose weight..... it truly is a whole body and mind transformation....... ���

Such a fun and non-judgemental environment to get confident with how to use the equipment, patient and expert coaches who push you to achieve amazeballs results!!!! I also have knee issues but the team ensure workouts are adapted to suit my needs. Highly recommend!!!

I've never been able to stick to the gym, it was always a month on, four months off. This is the first workout I have stayed interested and motivated in, and the results are showing! The coaches are awesome and great at what they do! They also tailor each workout for your strengths and abilities. I used suffer from lower back pain every day and it's now seven months later and my back is stronger and rarely bothers me!

I would give 10 stars if I could! Haha

I've been a member at 1st4Fitness for 9 months and seen great results and had a lot of fun doing it. As someone with a busy work & home life being a regular gym member I found it too easy to do it tomorrow but with the support and systems in place here it makes committing to your goals achievable and varied which in turn keeps it interesting!

I was so lucky to win a free spot on their 4 week '1st4Challenge' Fat Loss programme. It was AMAZING! I went 3 times a week and loved every single session - everyone is so friendly and helpful, from Paul and the other trainers Louise & Hannah, to the other ladies (and sometimes man!) that were doing the same class as me that day. Great music and lots of space for the workout - sounds basic but I've just joined a smaller gym next to my house and they just play the radio and I'm constantly looking over my shoulder so as not to collide with anyone! Also, Paul's gym is nice & cool so when you've worked up a sweat and are gasping for breath, you haven't overheated at the same time. Thanks to all the nutritional advice over the 4 weeks, I am also now eating enough protein to support my goal of gaining muscle/strength! The fat loss was a big bonus too :) Once I am working full-time again, I hope I might be able to come back for some more! I am missing it already!

I joined in August with a view to lose weight and feel better about the way I look. I joined 1st4fitness just over 3 months ago and it was literally the best decision I’ve made. Paul, Hannah and Louise are absolutely amazing and support you each step of the way. I train 2/3 times a week and it’s amazing just how quickly you start to feel and hear the results. I already feel fitter & stronger and it’s only been 3 months! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, you are sure to make some brilliant friends right off the bat. So give it a go, what’s to loose!

I joined 1st4Fitness not even 3 months ago but I can honestly say that I can’t imagine ever not being a member. Everyone has been so welcoming, from the many other amazing members that are all so friendly and supportive, Louise for all her nutritional advice, her passion to help others is so very evident and to Paul for his fun, motivational workouts and making me believe in myself.

This is the first time ever that I have enjoyed exercising. I train 4 times a week and actually miss coming in on my rest days.

I am still in the early stages of my body transformation but I am excited to see where I will be in a years time. I know with the help of everyone at 1st4Fitness I can achieve whatever I put my mind to!

I initially joined just over a year ago as had been experiencing shoulder pain for years, nothing else seemed to make any difference so i decided to give this place a try and i'm so glad that I did. Only a few months later the pain had completely gone and I now have full movement back. Never been able to stick to the normal 'run of the mill' gyms, but this place is amazing. Paul, Louise and Hannah are the best trainers and are with you every step of the way. I train 3/4 times a week work permitting and can't stand missing a session anymore. It's surprising how quickly you get stronger and fitter. I love it so much i'm signed up for the next 14 month, and have also made some amazing wonderful friends too.

I was a slimming world person for years, but am now enjoying eating what I want to eat (obviously staying within a calorie defecit)

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this place is! I hated “working out” and never stuck to a routine or regime until I started at 1st4Fitness. Now I’ve been attending 3 times a week religiously for nearly two and a half years and I love it! Paul, Hannah and Louise are fantastic and so supportive. The ladies I train with are amazing, inspirational and have become good friends - something I never even thought I wanted or needed from a gym! But thats the epitome of 1st4Fitness, you get so much more than just a place to work out! �
