28 West is 1 year old on Sunday 8th July! We can’t believe it and we’re so excited and grateful that we made it through our first year! So to celebrate the shop will be open as usual 10am - 2pm with drinks served all day and then we shall be heading to Ye Arrow to celebrate some more!
Everyone is welcome in the shop during the day for a haircut or just to have a beer and we’d love our beautiful customers to join us for a drink after work!!

Why in this day and age are female barbers still suffering sexist attitudes from guys? It’s 2018 and the last time I checked, barbers cut hair with their hands and NOT THEIR GENITALS!!
It makes me so angry that this is still an issue in a lot of barbershops around the world! The abilities we have as barbers have nothing to do with gender, colour, religion or sexuality and everything to do with passion & hard work!! Hard work to learn our craft, fine tune our skills and a pas...sion to succeed in our chosen career!
My business partner, who is female, is an amazing barber. She has so much talent & creativity and the skill set she has is incredible but due to the prejudice of a few narrow minded clients who refuse to let her cut their hair, she struggles to pick up the amount of clients she fully deserves.
This! Is! Not! Right!
Barbering is all inclusive! Not exclusive!
So guys, if you have a problem with a woman cutting your hair you may want to have a word with yourself and if you still feel that it’s an issue then we’d rather not have your business! A barbers gender has no relevance to their talent!!!

dee and rob are brilliant, dee did my hair and and managed to actually seem like she was interested in my boring anecdotes for 4 hours. this is the first time a woman has done this without pretending to fall asleep.

i recommend their signature bleach blonde undercut that's currently trending on rochester high street.

Was served by Rob at 28 West this morning. I am always nervous about getting my hair cut but Rob instantly put me at ease by going through some styles that matched what I wanted.



After that he managed to cut my thick mop with ease and styled it just how I wanted. I will be going to rob again not just for the fact that he put me at ease but for the fact that I had a great cut and very much enjoyed the experience. Rob and his colleagues allowed me to actually enjoy getting my hair cut.



I would recommend this barber to anyone of any hair length. I had a right laugh and will be back!

It’s taken a long time since moving from London to find somewhere I totally trust with mine and the boys hair. Rob has been doing the job for nearly 3 years now, wouldn’t go any where else, plus great laughs every time. Keep up good work Rob and Dee.

I have been to Dee and Rob for about 2 years now and they are brilliant. Always friendly and bubbly which is great on a rainy day! Coffee or Tea upon arrival always goes down well! Always willing to listen to what you want and adjust the style if you ask them. Great customer service and I will continue to come back.

First visit today with my 2 young sons. Lovely service, really put them both at ease and my eldest is delighted with his rock star style. Will definitely be back! :)

Dee and Rob have been cutting my sons hair for years. Today, once again Rob gave Joe a spot-on hair cut. I wouldn't take my son anywhere else.

Casual atmosphere. Great cut. Great beard trim. Very good price and a drink whilst you're hair is being done. What's not to love?

Brought my step son in today and its by far the best cut he has ever had !

He has a huge cows lick and two crowns and the cut is perfect and he is dead chuffed!



Thanks again to the lad that cut his hair much appreciated and we will be returning �
