Welcome to my page, I am delighted to share my work with you.
I am currently working on a number of educational projects in Primary schools in the Bedfordshire area.
I have created a number of themed corridors in the very unique Chantry Primary Academy where the head teacher is inspirational in developing a wow factory environment for the pupils and staff alike. Classrooms and corridors are named after destinations around the world, such as Kampala class and Olympia Avenue I have been given the amazing opportunity to create the themes to enhance the schools vision.
You will see these wonders as you look through the pages photographs, My personal favourites so far are The Pyramid of learning and the reception area which is a huge book with over 30 book characters.
At The Meads Primary School in Luton I have been commissioned to paint some of the schools values around the corridors. These simple but effective words add a positive and effective message to the once plain magnolia corridors.
Also at The Meads I was commissioned to paint the entire THRASS collection; whilst I was given 120 characters from THRASS, (the phonics leaning system adopted at this and many other primary schools) I was given free licence to paint the characters in my own style in a fun and exciting way.
I have successfully completed this project, hiding the characters around the school so that the children discover new characters as they explore the school.
The Head Teacher has plans to create a THRASS Treasure hunt for the children and staff to enjoy.
My next project at The Meads Primary School is to create an exciting mural for their new library.
Working in these schools has given me an incredible sense of achievement, the childrens enthusiasm and wonder as the murals develop is a priceless thing to see.
