Went to Alternative for dinner yesterday and absolutely loved it! I lived in London for many years before moving to the Isle Of Wight and have tried quite a few different restaurants in both Londin and now on the Island but I have to say this place is very very high up on the list.... If not top! Delicious, fresh and flavoursome food! The dishes are tapas style but we're not nearly as small as other tapas/street food restaurants I have visited so the portions provided very good value for money. Will � be returning soon as I still have more to try! :) Thank you!

We had a really lovely meal here recently. The food was excellent and friendly service. So nice to get both in Ryde. 2 for 1 cocktails from 9-11 pm was an added bonus. Just wish the live music had been on longer and it had been a little busier. Definitely give this restaurant a try .... loved it. �

Great meal, great atmosphere. Really attentive, friendly staff who were very knowledgeable about the menu. Smooth service and fantastic food. We will definitely be recommending to friends and family and we will be back ourselves!!

Been meaning to add a little review for over a week, apologies for my slackness Zeph & all at Alternative!



Myself, my wife & our teenager went to Alternative for a spot of lunch, together we went for the Thai Noodle Salad, Falafel in pitta bread, Omelette & Chilli Cheese Chips.



We were astounded at the size of each plate & assumed the chilli cheese chips were going to be a side dish, how wrong were we!! All dishes were absolutely delicious & although im not a great fan on vegetarian meals, the falafel was spot on! My fav had to be the Thai Noodle Salad!



We will def return soon & are looking to book in for an evening meal soon!!



Top venue, lush food, awesome friendly & welcoming staff & a great selection of drinks, including of course the Islands very own Mermaids Gin!!
