Still can't believe Nick Frost from Spaced turned up to do our awesome Silent Karaoke hosted by Old Blue Last Beer 😀 Can anyone remember what song he was "singing"? And does anyone know this dude's real name? Think we should definitely book him next year 😀

Check it out, brand new tune from Sœur - Who caught them at ArcTanGent a few weeks back? Wish we could go back and do it all over again! Enjoy. xxx
"This band are wicked." - Daniel P Carter, Radio 1 Rock Show
... "They’ve managed to bring grunge, kicking and screaming into the modern era. It’s genuinely aggy, crusty music with a thread of catchy brilliance that makes it seem timeless somehow. Basically, I’m fairly sure that Tina, Anya and Jim, the trio behind Sœur, are geniuses." - Alex Baker, Kerrang! Radio

We're over the moon to announce our first headliner for next year. Swedish progressive metal pioneers Meshuggah will close the festival on the Saturday night & what's more ArcTanGent 7 will be their only UK show of 2019. Read all about it via Metal Hammer at http://bit.ly/ATG_1st_Headliner_2019
“When I’m booking the line up for ATG I’m looking for bands that are left-field, forward-thinking, challenging, progressive and maybe even a little bit mind-expanding. Meshuggah are al...l of this and more" Says ATG band booker James Scarlett. "To have such a legendary band closing our main stage on the Saturday night is truly an honour and I think may well end up being the best headline set we’ve ever had at ArcTanGent."

What’s not to like about it? Fantastic selection of music! I love the fact that the site is small so you don’t miss anything. The food is great, the people are so nice and the best part for me was the silent disco in the pissing rain covered in mud!! Please get tera Melos to play.

User

Was fortunate enough to win a pair of VIP weekend tickets, and had the time of my life! Countless staggering performances, and lots of new discoveries for me. I'll gladly pay the £100 to come back next year. It's an absolute steal at that price for the sheer volume of exceptional bands, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and amazing live set ups! What a weekend!

User

The best music festival in terms of size, location of stages, programming, prices (please keep it affordable!), attendees and them award winning toilets!

User

Probably the best festival I have ever been to. The setup was fantastic, the sound was amazing, the staff was helpful and the beer cheap. They even let you bring in your own 24 pack to the camping area. I wish the festivals in Austin, TX, where I am from, were run this well. The water was a dollar here. At festivals in the heat of summer here the water is usually 5+ dollars. I am coming back again this year.

User

Makes my summer complete year in year out.

Neat layout, with non-disruptive campers, spacious camping and helpful volunteers. Even the Security teams are great! (Provided we gloss over 2016's security... Let's just forget about that.)

Food is suitable for almost any diet and is affordable, a rarity at almost every festival nowadays. It also differs year to year, only to add variety to a cultural melting pot of festival cuisine.

And I must add that the audio is always on-point, (the engineers are wizards here, I swear), and the stage layout means you will always be able to get a good view. Not to mention the beauty that is the Arc stage, a treat for any seasoned festival-goer.

I have never been to a better, or more inclusive festival anywhere, and neither will you.

Highly recommended, if not biased by now.

Thank you ATG.

User

Just the best festival. Amazing music, lovely community sprit displayed by organizers, bands and punters alike. Great food options, no rubbish beer branding in sight. Winner.

User

I always thought End of the Road was the best festival ever but I've changed my mind. The value for money at ArcTanGent is absolutely incredible. Met some amazing people and the atmosphere was electric from start to finish. I even lost my phone during the last set and someone handed it in, that tells you everything about the kind of people who go there. I did not see a single band that wasn't good and the sound quality was excellent. I didn't get harassed for taking my own cans of beer through the checkpoint and there seemed to be just enough toilets scattered in the right places for everyone. The silent disco was my first ever and I absolutely loved it, perfect sound quality and decent range on the headphones. I will be 100% going next year and I can't bloody wait!

User

Here are a list of things I didn't like about this year's (my first) ATG:

- The ridiculous rain

- Ending the silent disco on Toto's Africa (seriously man, wtf??)

That's it.

Bands were awesome, layout is great, size is perfect, solid selection of food, local - not big brand - beer & cider. Lovely people - shout out to Nick and the lads from Swindon, the boys in Real Terms and Liam from Ireland! Sound was fantastic on all four stages. Pacing of the bands was spot on: getting a bit math-ed out? Here, have some grindcore. All getting a bit heavy? Here's some lovely post rock for you. I've got about ten new favourite bands I'd never heard of. Good mix of strong local acts with big names - EITS to end it on the Saturday is just perfect, but Hoggs Bison first thing in the morning was spot on too. Brutus were sublime. When they carried the dude from A Werewolf! to the bar after the set was ace. Such awesome moments.

Booked my ticket for next year just now because it's ridiculous value - at the 20% off rate it's like what, a third of a Glastonbury? Honestly can't recommend it enough.

User

Fourth year on the trot this year and couldn't be happier about it. Researching the Clashfinder for Friday and have found some real gems in the lineup. Beautiful location, wonderful atmosphere, great people and stunning music. Also merch, great food and well maintained facilities. Thank you, thank you, thank you. x

User

For such a recently established festival there are all the good things about Glastonbury with none of the queues and clashes. Great music and friendly people.

User

Favourite festival I've ever been to. Reasonable price, small distances between stages, you can take your own booze into the arena, everyone's into the same music and I'm yet to meet one person there that I didn't like... plus, the silent disco absolutely makes this festival for me. Watching thousands of people in a field with headphones on singing badly to different songs is exactly how I want to end my nights

User

Easily one of the best festivals I've been to, the organisation is spot on from festival staff and reminds me of how well sonisphere used to be organised in comparison to other festivals I've been to, the atmosphere of the festival is amazing and really welcoming, every year they manage to pull out some amazing bands and follow up with the sound quality during the event, the food and alcohol selection is also great!

User

Clean,friendly great acts great crowd!

User

Brilliant festival even with the biblical downpours. Tesseract, Sikth and Ho99o9 (Horror) were standouts. Heck and Hark were great. A whole bunch of other bands killed it too making it a brilliant festival for me and my first time festival goer 8 year old. Food was really good even for GF with friendly vendors offering great service. The other festival goers are a friendly bunch. I'll make this a regular trip.

User

Best. Festival.

Honestly, I have not been to a better festival. The variety of music, the size of it, the food, the actual festival goers, the fact that you can see other bands watching bands perform. I have been twice and I want to keep going each year!

User

Best UK festival by a mile!

Well organised, nice staff, chilled atmosphere and obviously AMAZING BANDS!

Will definitely be back next year

If I had one small bit of advice it's that being in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal or coverage is super annoying so wifi would be really useful, 2000 Trees had it this year and it worked really well! Just something to think about anyway

Thanks, keep being awesome ATG!

User

Been the past three years now and hands down the best organised, best vibes and best selection of bands every time. I can barely catch breath I want to see everything and sometimes two bands at once but I wouldn't have it any other way. Even with the campsite changes and rain this year it was still totally badass.

ATG FAMILY! Roll on ATG 5!

User

An absolutely amazing weekend! With overall just the nicest people you can find.

Smaller festivals always tend to give way to friendlier environments with people genuinely there for the music. However, ArcTanGent manages to outshine even those within that field.

The music may be a little niche, but it results in bringing together people who are all genuinely over the moon to be at such an event. People who have a genuine love for the music being performed.

On top of this, it's extremely well put together and run! From the small independent food vendors, to the countless volunteers they manage to drum together to help in the running of the festival (who are looked after very well by the way).

If this review is getting a bit long I apologise, but it is simply because this festival, this friendly, beautiful festival, manages to instill in people such a passion and longing for a just a few small fields in the southwest of England.

It really is an amazing thing.

User

Amazing festival and was my first year cant wait to go back already.. Perfect size festival, amazing music and great mix of people :)

Highlights in no particular order were Heck, Converge, St. Pierre Snake Invasion, Big Lad (ShitWife), Employed to Serve, Totorro, Boris, The Physics House Band & Jardín de la Croix
