Welcome to Ashbourne Hilltop School's Facebook page. We are currently an infant school, although will become a full primary in September 2017, and also have the only local-authority nursery in Ashbourne, taking children from 3 years old. Please join our page to keep up-to-date with the daily activities in school, as well as upcoming events.

Yesterday we had a lovely afternoon assembly celebrating Mr Milward's 104th Birthday. Mr Milward had a super time answering questions from the children about some of his memories.
The EYFS Class have had a fantastic time out in the snow today! ☃️
If school is going to be closed tomorrow we will text all parents by 7:30am, post on Facebook and put a message on the website. If school is open please ensure that your child comes in the appropriate clothing and footwear, with gloves, hats and wellies. Thank you. ❄️
A huge thank you to these two fantastic official royal Shrovetide ball painters Simon Hellaby and Tim Baker who joined us for an afternoon assembly on Friday to talk about their wonderful art work and how to keep safe at Shrovetide. Thank you to both for giving your time to do this and for answering a hundred or more questions about the balls.
Big whoop to this weeks 'Stars of the Week' and to our awesome 'Accelerated Readers', huge well done to you all!
Using our topic money the EYFS have enjoyed baking animal biscuits this week and planting our own lush, green grass for the Billy Goats.

Our eco council have been busy sorting and packaging recycling ready to be sent to TerraCycle.
The day the Planetarium came to school! Please ask your child about this as it was extremely thought provoking and exciting, the children asked some amazing questions and the Planetarium person was able to answer them all.
A huge thank you for everyone's generosity in baking cakes for our cake bake and to everyone who sent in donations of money and those that bought cakes. In total we raised £372, a lot of money! This money has been sent to Port Macqarie Koala Hospital and you can follow the work that they are doing on their Facebook page.
