So we came to Azzurro who did ,

we were very glad as we had an excellent meal with excellent service

So..... a well deserved five gold

We had an excellent meal here, all our meals were delicious and we were very impressed by the care they took of one of our party who doesn't like onion or garlic. They happily cooked her plain chicken, chips and mushrooms, even checking how she'd like her mushrooms cooked, without making her feel difficult or awkward. Great service as well.

Visited on a busy Saturday evening and although we hadn't booked they kindly offer us a table.

The staff were very friendly and food was beautiful!

The only negative I have was I thought the was prosecco at £7.45 a glass was well over priced.

I would recommend this resturant and would visit again.

This is the second time we have been here and it was absolutely fantastic. The food is so authentic and the staff couldn't be more helpful. It's such a shame they are tucked away and not many people know they are there. We would dine with them over pizza express, ZiZi's and Bella Italia any day! The restaurant is the last one on the top deck. Worth the Weald up the stairs with gorgeous views. The portions are huge and we wouldn't eat anywhere else. Thank you again for a wonderful lunch

Had a wonderful family meal for 12 of us it was the 16th birthday I found the staff to be exceptional they didn’t rush us the food was gorgeous brilliant atmosphere and it wasn’t expensive I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends I can’t wait to go back . looking forward to the summer Evenings sit down with that view , but the service was excellent and I left Wirh a wonderful evening to remember I’ve just like to thank staff

Don't always believe what you read on here, my wife and I have been here four times now and the service and food has been exceptional every time.. The Penne Calabria is possibly one of the best pasta dishes I have had and the lasagne is exceptional. The service we receive each time is second to none and the staff are really friendly. We tried bella Italia next door once and it was average at best. So we will be going back to Azzurro on our next visit to Gun Wharf. Highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible experience both times we have eaten here. On this occasion my boyfriend and I were celebrating Valentine's Day a week late and it was perfect. The food was incredible, the staff were attentive, the only downside was the weather, but hey there are some things azzurro just can't change. There is an amazing view of the spinnaker tower and the whole harbour and there's such a nice atmosphere in the whole place. My boyfriend and I had individual meals but tasted each other's dishes and absolutely loved all of them.



Starters: Arancini and Bruschetta Classic

The starters arrived quickly, tasted fresh and looked beautiful.



Mains: Ravioli Porcini and Tagliatelle Funghi with chicken

The mains were creamy, delicious and the pasta was cooked perfectly.



Desserts: Cioccolato Arancia and Torta di Limone

The chocolate orange cheesecake was like nothing I'd ever tasted. It was so light and creamy and chocolatey without being sickly like you can get with some chocolate desserts. I would have loved a whole cheesecake like this. The lemon cheesecake was so fresh and creamy. They were the perfect end to a perfect meal.



Thank you so much for our amazing meals. Cannot stop raving about this meal to friends and family. We will definitely be coming back again, many more times I'm sure.

Surprisingly was good as it was a first visit. Good tasty food, good customer service. The only thing i would suggest them to think about - the food was a bit salty and a bit too much oil.

I had the Risotto Pescadores,. It was over cooked, the rice was soft the prawn and calamari were chewy. And the price of alcohol beer is more then the real beer.

Food was very tasty but pretty poor menu option. Waiter was friendly but uncooperative when we asked to split the bill, said he could only do 1 bill per table?? Caused us to pay more than we should of and left feeling cheated by false offers. Would I eat there again? Probably not, better looking menu next door.

Took my in-laws, hoping for a pleasant lunch. It was not busy in the restaurant. Waiter was not particularly friendly, but you always excuse because they are young and still learning. We waited for our food for 45 minutes. It was not easy with restless 4 year old. My pizza was ok, but in-laws were not impressed with risotto and Caesar salad. There were two other tables next to us which waited for a very long time. Very disappointed. Not sure what is the reason of those lackings but won't be setting my foot there again. ( feel even worse taking in-laws there )

Ordered 3 meals 2 turned up my 5 year olds had not been cooked at all. The spaghetti was like a microwave meal . The other meal was cold. But staff never bothered to ask how are meal was. Then had the cheek to try and charge us for the meal we never had. Service was terrible. I asked for the ho details and the manager could not even bother to ask if there was anything rong ( shows how bad there customer service is ) we shall see what the ho say when I contact them to complain. Will never eat there again may be that's why they had space !!!!!

My girlfriend and I ordered the seafood risotto which said it had king prawns in and came to the table with the world's smallest shrimps. The waiter/manager then said the king prawns were in it somewhere but they Clearly weren't and the dish was bland and tasteless, the Mrs does a better microwave risotto. He offered us a free dessert and then bought out stale profittorolles. ��

I would give it less if it was possible.



Poor service, it took 50 minutes for our starters to arrive with no explanation from the staff. When the starters did arrive, they forgot one of them.



No one asked us if we wanted more drinks the whole time we were waiting.



The main courses took nearly two hours to arrive with the excuse of being busy. There were only 30 customers in the building.



When the food arrived, they were all cold and burnt and lacking in flavour. No one even ate the food despite being starving.



Still no explanation as too why they wouldn't even tell us about the delay or why no one asked if we were okay.



I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy! Stay clear people!!

Will be checking my card statement carefully to make sure I did not get charged twice. Oh and in terms of the bill the restaurant took off only the food we complained about. No goodwill gesture offered at all. Will never go back.

Dreadful service, very overpriced for what it is & the food was only ok. If this place is empty when everywhere else is full (which is what happened to us) go & get in another queue as believe me that's preferable to what you'll get in here.
