IMPORTANT CORONAVIRUS UPDATE FOR VISITORS AND STAFF - Tuesday 24th March, 2020
Please note that, following the announcement from the Prime Minister yesterday, ALL people MUST stay at home, except for essential work, food shopping and exercise once a day.
Due to this, and in addition to the closure of our museum, the entire The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway (official) is on full lockdown, including the entire Ingrow site Rail Story at Ingrow, which includes the Vintage Ca...rriages Trust's museum and workshops, and our own museum and workshops.
This means that NO people, whether members of the public or members of staff, volunteer or paid, should try to access our site, or the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, including stations and Haworth Loco Depot, FOR ANY REASON. Additionally, all work on the Ingrow bridge replacement has now been suspended until further notice.
The only exceptions to this are members that have express permission from specific people from the railway, details of which have been sent out in a separate message to KWVR working members.
Some members of the railway will be using their exercise time to patrol the line to check on security, and we will be keeping a close eye on the site CCTV footage.
This shutdown is for YOUR OWN SAFETY.

BAHAMAS LOCOMOTIVE SOCIETY UPDATE
"It is with great regret and after much thought and discussion, in view of Government advice on the Coronavirus spread, I have decided that there is no alternative other than to announce that our Museum is now closed as of Thursday 19th March until further notice as obviously our main objective must be to keep both our visitors, members and our staff safe.
Ours is a small museum with confined space and although much loved by our visitors to ...close has really been our only option.
In addition Bahamas will not be undertaking any main line tours for the foreseeable future. We will keep everyone updated through our social media and other outlets."
Keith Whitmore,
Chairman, Bahamas Locomotive Society

We've just passed 2000 likes on our page! How long will it be before we reach 5596? ;)
Bahamas is seen here during a successful weekend running at the The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway (official) winter steam gala, rounding the curve from Ingrow to Damems. Thanks to ASH Railway Photography for the photo!

We've been voted as having one of the top 2 best looked after locomotives in the country by community vote! But don't just take our word for it, come and see for yourself! Bahamas will be running tomorrow for the last day of the Keighley and worth valley railway winter steam gala!

Back on shed, and Bahamas put to bed, after what has been, for some of us, a 16+ hour day. The tour went brilliantly, and we'd like to thank everyone who travelled with us and came to see us, WCRC and Network Rail for accommodating us, the hard working volunteers from both the Keighley and worth valley railway and our own organisation, and most of all, the devoted support crew that always go above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. And with that, time for us to go to bed! Until next time...

We're ready for tomorrow, with Bahamas all polished and a warming fire lit. We look forward to seeing everyone who'll be travelling on the train, but if you plan to see the tour from the lineside instead, timings are available in the article below. Please remember to stay safe and don't tresspass, and feel free to tag and share with us any photos you take!
