Lest we Forget
The New Milton Remembrance Day ceremony is an important event for Barton on Sea Golf Club giving the club and its members the opportunity to respect and remember the fallen of the two World Wars and other national conflicts and campaigns.
This year the honour of laying the wreath on behalf of BOS membership was entrusted to the Ladies Captain Karin Williams and the Men’s Captain Jon Whitcher. For Jon this was a special moment, as his Great Grandfather William Jesse Whitcher is commemorated on the cross, having died in a Prisoner of War camp on November 8th 1918, three days before the end of the hostilities; Karin and Jon were able to place the club wreath on the cross adjacent to his name.

What a golf course, great layout great golf holes challenging but not unplayable, although we had a sunny day so I imagine with the wind off the ocean it would be a different course and the 9th on the needles course is a fantastic hole , clubhouse great, changing facilities first class the food was good, bar prices good, I will be going back and highly recommend any golfer playing here.

User

My first time playing on the brightest, sunniest day in November. Our ladies four ball flowed and we had a perfect round with great friends and a winter warmer supper- The perfect day. We will come back to play this course. Great greens and wonderful views.

User

Love this course. 3 9s and all quite different. The one thing they have in common is the breathtaking views which never fail to lift my spirits. Played here just yesterday and the course is in fantastic condition due to plenty of rain and some recent hot sunshine. Always well maintained and fun to play on. Great clubhouse too - very modern and serves great food.

User

I love this course, my husband and I with two friends have been coming to this course once a year for the past six years and it never fails to disappoint me, the views are spectacular, the 3 9hole courses are a true test of you golfing abilities. Lovely clubhouse and the staff and food are excellent . Well worth a visit if you are in the area

User

Barton was a nice course some tough holes and some not so. Love the choice of 3 decent loops of 9's. We had food after which was very good. 4 beers was quite expensive compraed to our home club. Only word of warning is don't go when it's windy because the wind is too strong off the sea

User

A gem of a course, a very warm welcoming golf club with exceptional views across to the Isle of Wight. Fantastic clubhouse with good local sourced ingredients for the restaurant. Exceptional members and a lovely relaxed warm atmosphere greets you.

User

great course with stunning views of the needles. a couple of holes were under construction but we played holes on all 3 courses. Will definitely come back when the sun is out!
