Went in on a quiet Wednesday night, my wife had a steak that she said was lovely and I had a burger which was fantastic, that staff were very nice as well.

Went for Father's Day .amazing staff probably the best steak I've ever had followed by an amazing desert and even given a free drink for Father's Day. Highly recommended will definitely be going back

We have been many times since it opened and had great service every time.

Then they started to change and things went down hill a little, so we stopped going.

They took on a new manager anchor me things got worse, but we started going again over the past few months and have been looked after very well.

We love the food as it is a little different from anything else we had tried in reading.

We arrived to a warm welcome. The food and service was the best I have ever had and all for a very reasonable price. I will happily recommend friends to try it. Ps try the calamari it's amazing.

Never a bad steak is had at Barts. I frequent this establishment almost monthly, the staff are great and the food is amazing.

My husband and I were at Bart’s grill for Sunday lunch. Can’t rate it highly enough. Staff are polite and friendly,food really delicious and plentiful. Little touches like jug of water and nuts are put on table without asking. Have been to Bart’s quite a few times and the food has always been really good.

I arranged a team Christmas meal for myself and colleagues at Barts tonight and we were all so impressed by both the service and quality of the food and cocktails!! Fantastic time had by all. Thank you :)

Had the fillet steak which was cooked perfectly. Have good choice of sides to go with it. Staff attentive and restaurant is very comfortable. Can park in nearby Palmer Park Stadium, just a few minutes walk to restaurant.

Had a fantastic meal here tonight. Venison steak was asked for rare and rare was what I got. Didn't need to use the steak knife as the dinner knife went right through it like butter. It melted in my mouth. My partner ordered his Rump steak Blue and he even got his cooked (or not) to perfection. Staff very friendly and will definitely be eating here again.

First visit tonight for my birthday. Beautiful food, warm friendly staff and a great time all round. Can recommend the massive steaks and the chicken supreme!

Fantastic! Food absolutely delicious, sticky toffee pudding outstanding! Fillet steak beautiful. So friendly and courteous. Little touches make it even more special. I was given a free slice of chocolate cake as it was my birthday, so thoughtful... Definitely worth a visit.

Celebrated my birthday here last night with my family. Great evening from start to finish. The staff are all very nice, polite and courteous. They do their job very well. Superb service. I had the Grilled Tiger Prawns. So tasty! I opted for the Sirloin for my main, it was cooked to perfection, and the Cowboy fries complement it well with the paprika sprinkle. The garlic mayo is pretty awesome to, so fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved my surprise pudding!! I ordered the delicious Chocolate Fudge Brownie Cake and it came complete with a sparkling birthday candle. Lovely little touch from the staff, it made my night. Thank you very much and we will definitely be back and recommend you to our friends & family xxx

We orderd the steak which was on the menu for 2 courese for £15.95. The steak was beautifully cooked and well prented on the plate and tasted delicious!

Ate there last night with friends and family - food was delicious, staff were lovely and the service was perfect, lovely little touches like nibbles on the table and jugs of fresh water without having to ask - can't recommend the place highly enough. We were visiting Reading to see student son and were thinking of going into the centre but so glad we found Barts instead. Next time we are in Reading we'll be back!

Two thirds of my sirloin was chewy and inedible. This was their second attempt at delivering five steaks cooked correctly and warm enough. Disastrous evening for our celebration meal. Still angry at no response to email complaints. This happened 29th November 2014. Jamshed Miah should be ashamed. Boycotting this awful place and also his Garden of Gulab restaurant where we had been regulars for about 20 years.
