Beachside Retreat Description
Beachside Retreat is a cosy static caravan, sited at Bunn Leisure’s West Sands Holiday Park in Selsey, on the South Coast, 8 miles south of Chichester.
Beachside Retreat has 3 bedrooms (2 twin bedded rooms and 1 double bedroom), each with heating and storage space. The bedrooms are designed just for sleeping in, with plenty of space in the living area for playing and activities. The master bedroom has lots of storage.
The galley kitchen is equipped with a full size gas cooker, fridge and microwave and all the other essentials that a kitchen needs (but no dishwasher! ). The living area has two lots of comfortable seating, one that fits around the dining table and one that allows for cosy evenings around the gas fire and TV (also converts to a sofa bed). Beachside Retreat has central heating and double glazing throughout – the gas fire is great for chilly evenings.
The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, shower and hand basin as well as a heated towel rail.
Outside there is a small, enclosed, secure decked area, complete with table and chairs…. . perfect for a glass of wine and dinner outside on a warm summer evening and safe enough for the children to play outside while you’re inside.
There are loads of extras included at Beachside Retreat, including all bedlinen (with beds made up on arrival – you do need to bring your own towels please for swimming and the beach! ), gas and electricity included, and information on things to see and do and places to go.
Beachside Retreat is 5 minutes’ walk from the private pebble beach, the entertainment complex and The Oasis leisure complex.
The beachfront has recently been redeveloped by the site owners, ensuring safe sea defences and a great stretch of beach, just for the park’s visitors.
The entertainment centre is the home of West Sands evening entertainment – with a huge variety of acts across the season. There are cafes, bars and restaurants here and an amusement arcade which everyone seems to love. Within the complex is The Oasis swimming centre, with a swimming pool, fun splash pool and its very own “lazy river”.
Onsite there are also children’s clubs with groups for the under 5’s, 5 – 12’s and a teens hang-out area with staff and activities appropriate for the ages of your children.
All of the entertainment, swimming and kid’s clubs are accessible if you purchase an entertainment and leisure pass on arrival. These vary in price, dependent on when you visit, but as an example, a family pass for 2 adults and 2 children (5 + ) in school holiday time was £85 for 7 days in 2019. We feel that this is great value for money but is entirely optional. Please ask for other pass prices.
On site there are a variety of places to eat, a small but well stocked “Nisa Local” store, a laundrette, a permanent funfair (separate admission charge - great for the under 11’s), go karting (additional charge), crazy golf (additional charge), a 6km nature trail, playgrounds for the smaller children and a multi-sports pitch. There’s plenty to keep everyone entertained.
With White Horse Caravan Park and Green Lawns Park all being part of the Bunn Leisure Group and within 10 minutes of each other, you can use any of the facilities on any park. The “Bunni Train” and courtesy buses operate around the site and between the other parks and are free and run regularly, meaning the if you want to go to another park for entertainment, you don’t need to take the car! They even run in the evenings too!
Talking of buses, the Stagecoach 51 bus runs from West Sands to Chichester – it takes about 45 minutes – runs regularly and takes you to the heart of the town, where you have enough shops, restaurants and things to do to occupy some time. Chichester Gate Leisure Park has a Cineworld cinema complex, 10 pin bowling, restaurants including Frankie and Benny’s, McDonalds, KFC, Domino’s Pizza, Nando’s and more! It’s a 5 minute walk from the bus station and train station, with links to great places and attractions all along the South Coast.

Where do I start? I have never seen such a welcoming caravan it really was like being at home but with better surroundings! Booking was easy! Payment was easy and affordable! The children had endless games to play with indoor and outdoor! I highly recommend this beautiful and homely caravan which is THE BEACHSIDE RETREAT!!

We were lucky enough to spend a few days here. A real home from home feel and perfect for us with our young children. Facilities in Beachside retreat and at the park were wonderful. Highly recommended!
We went for the day to visit a dear friend, was really surprised on the amount of things available for the whole family, indoor and out. Could never get bored. The static caravan was huge and really comfy (home from home).

We had a wonderful 2 weeks here. Lovely comfortable caravan with everything you need on hand. The site is well kept and clean. We went swimming every other day at the leisure center on the site and plenty of walks nearby. We didn’t want to come home !! We will definitely be back. Thanks Kate �� xxx

Just come back from 3 days at Beachside Retreat and it was fab. Probably wasn't everyone's idea of a perfect break - I was by myself and the weather was decidedly iffy - but I wanted to hole up and get a lot of writing done, so this cosy and very quiet caravan was just the job. I emerged occasionally from my work to go for a seaside stroll or a swim in the pool (which I had more or less to myself), then took myself back for tea and more writing. In 3 days I achieved a lot and in splendid comfort too! Thank you Kate! �����
Homely, welcoming, with brilliant facilities nearby. We had a lovely time, and definitely hope to return!
Great week spent at Beachside Retreat.
All 5 of us enjoyed the different aspects of the site. From the sandy beach, to crazy golf, the swimming pool, the wildlife around the site n the freedom to run on unknown paths.
Good space in caravan n the decking gave us outdoor safe space. We parked 2 cars just outside too.

Beachside Retreat is fabulous ... it is in great condition, has lots of space, is well equipt and is in a quiet corner of the park yet close enough to walk to all the amenities.
We have had a lovely weekend away - even with four teenagers who have found plenty to keep them occupied. Thank you Kate!
Beach side retreat is just wonderful. The deck for the kids and the grass area behind was so brilliant. We went with two 3 year olds and it felt so safe.
