There's plenty of shady spots in Beaulieu to recharge and cool down. A tranquil stroll or sit down in the shade of the Mill Pond walk is one of many! Perhaps with an ice cream too? 🍦☀️

We had a fabulous day, Disability is well catered for and there truly is something for everyone!

We bought tickets online the day before but had to pay for the wheelchair on the day. I guess a H&S thing? Beautiful house and grounds, fab cars, top gear was enjoyed by all... really good value for money!

User

We called in on the way home from Cornwall we really enjoyed it all parts where fantastic even the wife enjoyed it. I went to see the motor museum but enjoyed the palace house and the garden's as well .the staff were very helpful and friendly especially in the palace house, I even tried the bells in the kitchen. The cafe I felt wasn't over priced as some people have started. But then again some people just like to moan! Highly recommended we will be back soon

User

We bought tickets on-line the day before, expecting it to be really busy-forgetting that England were playing in the world cup-what a breeze to get in!! Found out then that it was a land rover day.....there were loads of them!!! Started at 10o/c and spent the whole day there, it was great. Lots of wonderful cars and a couple of which you could dress up and sit in for a photo/selfie.

Then onto the monorail round to the palace house where costumed staff would help and answere any questions. 'Tweenie' and the scullery maid were lovely. Next the Abbey and exhibition, just love all this old historical stuff

A gentle stroll next around the flower and kitchen gardens with beautiful old roses that actually smelt how I remembered they used to along with all the wonderful herbs.

A lovely little section of topiary of Alice and the mad hatters tea party had been well trimed! Back to the Brabazon shop for a nice hot coffee and homemade Victoria sponge, a good size mug costing no more than you would pay in certain other coffee shops! and the sponge WAS homemade!

Refreshed- back onto the vintage bus to the palace again for a look at the Secret Army exhibition which gave an insight into the world of the S.O.E.s.

Another stroll this time along the mill pond walk and back to the World of Top Gear and On Screen Cars with a "photo oportunity" in one of Mr Clarksons cars.

Another coffee and then into the gift shop and home.

If I had to pick on anything it was the gift shop- too many cuddly toys(not relevant) and nothing really about the palace house and Abbey. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable day.

User

I was surprised to see so many negative comments as I found it very interesting a good value. I visited on a weekday and so it may be that on days when there are more visitors the experience may not seem so good but the negative comments may reflect more on the visitors than on the museum! To potential visitors I would just say don’t be put off by the moaners - enjoy a good day out!

User

Had a great day at Simply Land Rover yesterday. The event was really well organised, staff were friendly and helpful, grounds/ facilities were spotless and access to the broader museum/ grounds made it good value. Thanks for a great day!

User

Fantastic place to spend the day, fantastic displays of cars and bikes and the grounds are a great place to walk around. The falconer on the day was very well spoken and despite the heat clearly a bloke enjoying working with his birds well worth a visit

User

Excellent place to visit. Arrived as doors opened and took the whole day to go around. Feel like it would really take longer than a day to see all thoroughly. Many varied things to see, not just cars.

User

Brilliant day out, enjoyed the whole visit! Staff lovely, food pretty good, beautiful grounds. Only one problem I found the Abbey spooked me! Got goosebumps and had to walk out.....too spooky for me . Never experienced anything like it before !

User

A really great place to visit lots to see and do my two favorite's the Motor Museum and Top Gear Experience, Jeremy, Hammond,May simply the best.

User

A great day for all ages, the beautiful house was an unexpected bonus, not just the house but the stories that go with it. The part the family and the area played in WW11 I found fascinating.

The village nearby and the countryside is exquisite.

User

Lovely estate and it was bathed in sunshine for our visit to the Mini Cooper register day. After enjoying the cars we moved on to the Museum, so much to see and do, make sure you wear your walking shoes.

User

Has a great day at the Simply Landrover event. Interesting seeing all the different land rovers (enjoyed more by my son and brother!) Grandchildren had a lovely time riding on the bus and the monorail, they also enjoyed the house and the gardens, including play area. Good value and great that everything is included in entry fee. Bit disappointed in the quality of the early morning bacon roll, but the coffee was good. Need to encourage visitors through the website to bring their own re-usable mugs!

User

Had a lovely day visiting Beaulieu

The motor museum is fabulous and amazing collection of cars old and new

Nice to go on monorail and the vintage bus

Love the house and gardens

Nice eateries , although like all these places a little pricey Toilet facilities are very clean and easy to get too

User

Came with Simply Jaguar for the 3rd year which is a great event, plenty of marshells to direct you to your parking spot in a sea of Jaguar. As for the day, museum look and feel the same as when I came as a child 40 years ago but still a great collection, Palace House is good with staff dressed up to help bring the place to life, food not badly price for a captive audience but will say Abbey display is well presented and there's the mono rail and bus still going round and round if your feet begin to ache from walking the lovely ground and gardens. If you've not been before a great day out.

User

Absolutely fantastic day out. Plenty to see. The house and Abbey were a favourite of mine, whilst my husband thoroughly enjoyed the motor museum.

The only downsides were the cost of the food & drink, and that the bus and monorail closed at around 5.30 (15 minutes earlier than we were told)...it would have been nice to ride one or the other back up from the house.

Overall a lovely day, and we will go back but will definitely pack a picnic!!

User

A pretty good afternoon out looking at a century of car making with an extensive collection from all eras. Cars as well as bikes. The gardens and house are also well worth a look.

User

Well we are a bit disappointed about the price we paid to get in, not a great deal to see nothing really for children if we took the grand kids, the restaurant well 2x baguette 2x cake 2x tea wait for it £24-80. Shameful disappointment really. Take a picnic.

User

There's no getting away from the fact that the museum holds a superb collection. However for the most part the cars are jammed in closer than a Tesco carpark and I for one find it difficult to fully appreciate them. The currently running exhibit of custom cars was particularly disappointing in that regard. Some had superb lines but one cannot appreciate them. They deserved more space - perhaps in a temporary building like the Top Gear cars.

The house was excellent.

The catering was not. Prices are arguably high but, it seems, not high enough to employ enough staff to stock the cabinets, clear tables and clean table tops. It wasn't even overly busy when we were there. And we had to feel sorry for the lone lad in the ice cream kiosk trying to serve one bus load of punters before another turned up. The queue was ridiculous. It's only a complete lack of competition that allows such a situation. In the high street, custom would simply go elsewhere.

A nice enough somewhat expensive day but we wouldn't go again.

User

Good place to visit.. but what I can’t get over it the prices, the restaurant is a complete rip off, x2 teas and x2 sausage rolls £14 comes on guys please an absolute joke, I wouldn’t mind if it was nice, it wasn’t 🤮🤮.. I won’t be hurrying back.. if your a family of five good luck with that you will need to bring the bank manager with you

The cafe I felt wasn't over priced as some people have started. But then again some people just like to moan! Highly recommended we will be back soon

User

We had a fabulous day, Disability is well catered for and there truly is something for everyone!

We bought tickets online the day before but had to pay for the wheelchair on the day. I guess a H&S thing? Beautiful house and grounds, fab cars, top gear was enjoyed by all... really good value for money!
