Beaulieu River Description
Set within the New Forest National Park, Beaulieu River is one of the most picturesque locations on the south coast for short stays and permanent moorings.
Marking the south eastern edge of the Beaulieu Estate, the river is one of the few privately owned estuaries in the world. Peaceful and sheltered, the river offers tranquility and exceptional displays of natural beauty.
The river offers 115 marina berths and over 300 moorings which are served by a seasonal water taxi. Buckler's Hard Yacht Harbour offers full marina services and has been awarded the prestigious five Gold Anchor Award by the Yacht Harbour Association.

Last month the Beaulieu River team carried out an oil spill exercise in partnership with marine and conservation agencies to plan its response to a potential emergency.
The exercise tested their response to the scenario of an oil spill, with a grounded vessel leaking fuel into the river.
Harbour Master Wendy Stowe put the team through their paces by deploying marine booms from Warren Beach to contain the spillage and prevent it from spreading to environmentally sensitive wi...ldlife habitats.

Last weekend, Southern Boat Series took part in a challenging 'Wild Water Race Mission' on the Beaulieu River.
All the paddlers and supporters had a great day despite the weather and departed clutching their trophies and medals from the competitive racing.
... The mission was run by Itchen Valley and the Sharks Canoe Clubs http://www.thesharks.org.uk/ - supported in part by grants from Hampshire County Council and The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation.

NOTICE TO RIVER USERS❗
River Users are advised that Beaulieu River Harbour Authority will be holding an oil spill exercise on Thursday 11th October 2018.
This will involve the deployment of booms in the vicinity of Beaulieu River Sailing Club, Needs Ore, in the lower reaches of the river. It will impede the main fairway and for a short period close the river in this area.
... The exercise is expected to occur between 10.00 and 13.00. We advise you to contact us on VHF channel 68 “Beaulieu River Radio” before transiting this area and we will advise the current situation.
