Benjamin’s Trees is a local company established by Benjamin Topping.
Ben qualified as a Tree Surgeon and arborist in 2006.

Felling

"Benjamin’s trees Ltd” specialize in the felling of large and compromising trees. At initial assessment we always endeavor to save a tree if at all possible and will take action to reduce or treat diseased trees. However we realize that at times due to structural integrity or the compromising position of a tree safe felling is the only answer.
Felling is undertaken in a slow and controlled manor by climbing and dismantling in the case of large trees. It may be possible to fell smaller trees from the base but full risk assessments are always completed for each job with liaison with the client considered a paramount concern for all works.

Stump grinding

“Benjamin’s Trees LTD” are able to remove large established tree stumps with special access stump grinders. Stumps are ground out followed by the root ball and buttress roots. The final result is level ground which we can seed back to grass or replant with a new tree.


Shaping and reductions

“Benjamin’s Trees ltd” under take all aspects of shaping and reductions from mature trees to formative pruning.
Every type of tree has different needs when it comes to pruning. It is important to keep the tree’s natural shape and to have a clear idea of what the client wishes to achieve both short and long term.

Crown and canopy lift
This is where we lift the lower branches to a uniformed height, it is a great way to allow extra light in with out reducing the size, or spoiling the shape of the tree.

Thinning
This is a common practice where we remove crossing limbs, dead wood and poorly structured branches. This results in the reduction of loading on limbs and allows more light through to the inner canopy or flowerbeds under the tree.

Crown reductions
These are used to reduce the tree in both height and spread. The most important part of this practice is to retain the natural shape of the tree.



Hedge cutting

“Benjamin’s Trees LTD” under takes both one off hedge reductions, cutting and shaping and regular maintenance.
We understand the important part hedges play in shaping the landscape, providing boundaries and privacy and leave all sites tidy and remove all hedge cuttings.


Planting

“Benjamins Trees LTD” are able to offer a full range off planting, from whips hedging to established trees, container grown or bare root.
We can offer advise of species along with watering system’s and after care.
