we held our boys 8th birthday party at the Pyramids last night, the whole pool 6-8pm. the staff could not have been more helpful, really attentive and ensured everything was covered and well arranged, managed and fun. What could have been a hectic party was actually quite calm without anyone else in the pool and we would definitely recommend, thank you!

User

The BH Live Gym at the Pyramids is excellent; everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Gav in particular has really helped me get to grips with everything and has spent a lot of time helping me (as a complete beginner I was a little nervous). The whole team in the gym are very approachable and will go out of their way to put you at ease and to help in any way. The gym is really well equipped and very clean. And of course you have the best views on the south coast! I would highly recommend it.

User

Had a great time at the pool party. Everyone enjoyed it and nicely organised. Having my whole place to ourselves was great and really reasonably priced too! Thank you celebrating a ninth fourteenth and seventy sixth birthday all in one!

User

Our 3 boys aged 8, 3 and 1 all had a fantastic time , in the pool, jumping the waves, going down the slides big and small and the price is great but and unfortunately it's a big BUT , the changing rooms and showers were not very clean at all, I don't think it takes much to sweep and mop over the floors throughout the day to make it a more pleasant experience. I feel if a bit more time was put into the cleanliness and mainteness of the place it would get a much higher rating . Thanks

User

Staff friendly, no queues. The pool itself although one of the warmest I have been in , is run down, the bottom was dirty and had grit or glass on the bottom. The wave machine was switched off almost as soon as it had been switched on. Changing rooms were a nice size but dirty and the toilets needed lights, once your in the cubicle it’s very dark !

The water was also a bit of funny colour. It needs renovating

User

Wouldn't even give the pyramids 1 star. Actually the worst place I've had the mis fortune of dealing will. Cancelling our daughters 9th birthday party 4 hours before 18 of her friends were due to arrive with not even an apology, we had paid in full in advance, the date was booked for 2 months, shame on you, 4 hours is inexcusable. Disgusting. It's now been 10 days and I'm still waiting for a call from management even though I've been ringing and ringing, empty promises of a call back is all I get. I suggest someone contacts me asap or this will be going to press, I have a journalist wanting to do a story on this. I won't let you get away with ruining my daughters birthday and breaking her heart, a young child counts down the months/days to their birthday with excitement, you the bunch of prize idiots you are managed to shatter that excitement for an innocent child. Well done

User

Would be 0 if it was possible!! Really disappointed to get here today and yet again no slides working this is the third time in three visits recently and no explanation this time. Called yesterday to confirm the wet and wacky times ran until 545 as advertised and had this confirmed and that sessions are 90 mins long. Get to the desk to pay to be told the kids can only have an hour as the pool is closing early again apparently the the manager just changed the time as we waited for our session. Could not be more disappointed in the running of this place now. Don't even get me started on the band system and waiting times diabolical.

User

We went last night to the ‘foreverland’ event and never in my life have I experienced such disgusting management. We queued for nearly 2 hours to be told it was a one in one out situation. I’ve contacted foreverland who have confirmed the event was not over sold ! I’m shocked at how rude the door staff were. Just blatantly didn’t want to be working. Giving no answers and just opening barriers to usher people away from the venue. It’s such a shame. I’ve such fond memories of the pyramids as a child - minus the time I found a used syringe in the pool ! I don’t want this venue to close but looking at the reviews recently it doesn’t look like the pyramids will survive much longer. There needs to be massive changes. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

User

Was so excited to take our kids here for their Easter treat, to only find out once we had paid and were in there that the snake slide was shut and the green one, after one go on the blue one that was shut too, as well as the back pool not being open. I really think people should be notified when paying what facilities are available on that day. Changing rooms were also filthy

User

Turned up at 1.50 to go swimming where we were told the next session was not until 3pm. We were advised we could sit in the seating area by the pool and get our children changed in readiness for the next session. Went back to the front desk at 2.40 to be told we still could not pay for the next session as they were changing up the tills. 10 minutes later groups of people started coming through the doors where a queue had built up at the front desk. Get to the front if the queue where we were told that session had now sold out! We were anong a few families who had already waited over an hour all known to the ladies on reception!! We were told we then had to wait another hour and a half for the next session! Not inpressed with the dire lack of customer service skills, lack of apology or sensible booking system (also a lack of!) In place . We spent two hours with 5 children by the side of the pool for nothing. Manager didnt give a damn. Shambles of a place as always

User

The management of the pyramids is just awful! Went today for the 11am session on my own with 3 children, 2 of which we’re young. They were only letting 20 people through at a time then a 20 min wait before the next 20! And all the time you having to stay in the queue! There was no indication of how long you would have to wait given by the staff. You could not pay and wait your turn even. Utter madness! People walking out in their droves! Unhappy people everywhere. The system needs to change. I don’t mind waiting, but I do mind being made to stand waiting for 40 mins in a queue trying to manage children who are understandably restless. Plus on the website it states although the blue and green flumes are closed the snake flume is open. However turn up for “wet and wacky” to be told we can not use the flume as there is a private party! Wet and wacky consisted of a dozen floats in the pool and nothing else. The pyramids has gone rapidly downhill and won’t be going again

User

Since joining the gym i have tolerated the rusty equipment and the fact that it can take months to fix the gym equipment which has broken, however the fact that the gym is now being used to host spin classes whilst people exercise is just a step to far, it was a "temporary" measure whilst they re floored the GH but now it is a permanent fixture on the new class time table its just to much and is putting off a number of people.

Trying to cancel your Gym membership shows how much they care about loosing people as they simply just pass you to there Debt Finance Company without even asking questions why you want to leave. And even leaving is proving difficult as they failed to set the account up properly using my partners name on the account whilst the Bank Account is in my name.

User

Shocking place needs to get sorted out waIted and waited with out any information why we were waiting so long until I had too go to the desk then it was because of HS as not enough staff what a joke

User

Saturday swim and 90 min sessions, fair enough. But stood in a queue if you can call it that, a crowd of people at front desk, for 20mins. Get to the front to be told no next session is in 40 mins and have to wait until then to pay, so 40 mins with a 4 year old with nothing to do? No thanks. A small whiteboard sign at child height with the next session time on no one can see is useless, make it clear or at least make it possible to pre book like you can at your other sites across the country. Begrudgingly came to Mountbatten centre as it is still run by you. Explained what had happened, let in straight away and for cheaper - thanks for nothing

User

Just returned home from a very disappointing "fun session" at The Pyramids. After having to wait for 40 minutes before we were even allowed in the pool my children and I had a quick dip in the pool before joining the queue for the water slides. Unfortunately on doing so we were told by the lifeguard they were closing for the day but that the other slide would be opening instead. Great news for two of my children, but this didn't help my 5 year old as he is not yet tall enough to ride it. After a reasonable amount of tears I managed to console him with the fact that the wave machine would be on again in a moment and we went to join the main pool to wait. Unfortunately, someone in there wisdom had decided to rope off the deep end of the main pool for swimming lessons(obviously the pool that was completely closed to the public already for a handful of lessons wasn't enough)meaning no more wave machine either . I had phoned ahead to check timetables, slides etc and so feel extremely frustrated, disappointed, angry and quite frankly ripped off. I drove past two other public swimming pools to get to The Pyramids! I certainly won't be rushing back or recommending it to anyone in the future. To add insult to injury we couldn't even stay to the end of our session as a lot of our parking time had been used up waiting to get in!

User

If lucky enough to get there and find it’s not closed again it’s a mess. Changing rooms are poor, the pool has mould on tiles, when walking in baby pool the tiles are scratchy under foot, slides always closed and not surprisingly the staff have given up caring. Sadly it’s the only public pool South of the city. Sad situation.

User

I would leave no stars if I could. Sunday morning I was expecting it to be busy but the queue was out the door. Only letting a certain number through every time the next group for swimming could go in. Not very useful when I was there for the soft play area. Decided I wasn’t going to wait if the queue was just for swimming and it’s good I didn’t. I went to the counter to ask staff if I had to wait in the queue for soft play to be told it’s shut. No signs on the counter to say it’s closed. Nothing on the Facebook page. A completely wasted morning and then had to console my 4 year who was very upset. Every single time I come to the pyramids I’m left disappointed which is a shame as I have many fond memories of coming here when I was my children’s ages. It’s about time it was closed and rebuilt to a better standard and with staff and management that actually can run the place.

User

Have been using this swimming pool for years. Not going to bother if the current new band system stays in place. Rushed to get here to meet Family for Swimming to be told you are paying the same amount to get one hour. Now one hours Swimming wouldn’t be awful but it’s not. It’s one hour to get all of the kids changed (not easy with three) and sorted and yourself before getting near the pool. One of the pools isn’t open and the poor woman on reception is making announcements every ten minutes. The bands don’t fit the children at all and the experience feels rushed.

All in the children will only get about 40 minutes of actual Swimming which isn’t worth the price paid.

Won’t bother returning unless it’s changed as it’s not worth the stress and hassle.

Arrived just before 9:30am Sunday morning. Paid for 3 hours car parking a had noticed a sign saying flumes were not operating today. No problem. Walked through the door - queue. It was only because a lady at the front of the queue was talking, that we found out that we'd have had to wait for at least 40 mins to be allowed entry in a staggered group due to lack of lifeguards. No communication or signage anywhere. (And I'd checked this FB page before leaving the house.) I asked for a refund on my car parking as I'd just paid and was told there was a sign and I shouldn't have got it. When i said that there wasn't I was told to contact PCC as it wasnt their car park. (Why would PCC refund me for what was thr Pyramids fault??) As we were leaving the car park, a man appeared to display said sign! Unbelievable farce. May as well have thrown money down the drain and stayed at home. Won't be back.
