The hospital is clean spotless welcoming the staff are so friendly been taken ontime or early staff and doctors are lovely, but i have to thank the 2 nurses who got my ring off today been trying for a while nearly had it cut off but they got it off intact i cried with tears of joy thank you so much it means so much to me and it means my op can go ahead too thankyou again

Just returned home after knee surgery; Quick, efficient and couldn't do enough for you. Very pleased with the service, would recommend.

In 2014 I had shoulder arthroscopy on both shoulders within a space of 2 months because of the wonderful care and attention at all times from all of the staff at Blakelands. Mr Sam Anand performed both procedures and changed my life in that short space of time, from severe pain to pain-free movement of both arms and shoulders. Mr Anand makes you feel as if you are his only patient with his care and wit in the consulting room and in theatre.

In September this year I continued my wish to become ‘bionic’ by having an arthroscopy procedure on my right knee - this time under the safe care of Mr Cyril Marek. Again I’m in awe at the care and attention I received - especially being able to walk out of the hospital unaided after my procedure. Mr Marek and his theatre team have done a wonderful job to get me to be able to walk pain-free after 3 years of debilitating knee pain and many sleepless nights. I have to give a special commendation to my anaesthetist for pre-admission and on the day - Dr. Jean-Marie Sarti. He has amazing skills as an anaesthetist - very calming in theatre, but also he has a quick wit when discussing what will happen during the procedure - I felt that I had gained a new friend with his fantastic bonhomie.

Imagine my joy to see Dr. Sarti down as my anaesthetist again when I returned this week, 22nd November under the care again of Mr. Sam Anand for an ulnar nerve decompression procedure on my left arm. It honestly felt like an ‘old boys reunion’ when I walked into theatre 1 again!!

Two days on and everything is going to plan as I have full movement of my elbow and fingers without any pain at all. I honestly can’t thank everyone involved at Blakelands enough for all the care I have received over the past three years - it’s Teamwork at its best and everybody should be proud of their contribution to their patients ongoing welfare. Just one final point to add - how many procedures do you need to have to qualify for an invite to the Xmas party?

I didn't have to wait to long beyond my appointment time. Staff were very friendly nice clean hospital everything about my procedure was explained from start to finish I even received a telephone call from Blakelands to find out how I was feeling the next day a lovely touch. Well done 👍

Had a gastroscopy, staff were brilliant - I even decided to do it without sedation. I felt cared for and supported at all times. Highly recommended.😀

Had a carpel tunnel decompression yesterday every one from the reception to surgeon was very caring n thoughtful helped my nerves no end made my procedure very good thank u to everybody in theatre area for the excellent care xxxxx

Would have been excellent except for the lacking Physio information. The rest of the team from reception to after surgery were amazing especially the anaesthetist,who really put my mind at rest.

Exceptional service and made to feel at ease straight away . Mr Malick is very reassuring and explained everything to me .
