I really enjoyed this one as it was quite a challenge & one of my favourite fabrics to work with (Clarke & Clarke - Mirage). My customer had requested one huge Roman blind for his new bi-folding door installation. The weight limitation was just too much of a gamble in one full length wide width blind, so breaking the arrangement up so that he could still access the single door opening on the right was an ideal solution. My curtain maker did a fantastic job on the pattern matching so that the blinds created a book match effect from blind to blind. We also used black nickel chains on the roman headrails to match the radiators and bi-folding doors.

Business as usual!
Dear friends. I take the spread of this nasty virus very seriously. It’s important to me and my family & friends that anyone that is sick or isolating at home lets me know prior to booking an appointment. It is my promise that should myself or anyone in my household come down with symptoms of Coronavirus I will be isolating for the required time as instructed.
... I carry and use a strong alcohol gel throughout the day and refrain from handshakes and working in close proximity with my clients simply as a precaution.
This year has been extremely busy for Blindstar and I am so grateful, my customers are simply the best and a pleasure to work with. I’ve also become Oxted Interiors main fitter which is a great opportunity for me to work along side a like minded and professional team. It started out as a favour but the collaboration suits everyone and working well.
I’m a busy boy, and long may it last!
Okay I’m guilty for not posting my photos etc on here, sorry sorry sorry! When I’m in bed with the flu I might have a chance to catch up with that! Jokes.

Bespoke curtain making.
Working with a bay window can be tricky and previous attempts by other curtain makers were less than ideal! The first phase was to install the venetian blinds which add privacy and light management. I then suggested a custom bent ceiling fixed track that has a reverse bend to stack the curtains onto the wall on the right side. This allows maximum natural light and frames the window space in the best possible way. The curtains are handmade, interlined... and have the classic double pinch heading.

Tree house blinds! I would have loved this as a kid so enjoyed working up here for the day. It's now a teenagers art studio and just finishes off the space nicely.
We opted for Faux wood which are the most cost effective and will stand up to the elements as a painted wooden finish can crack/craze over time.

Vertical blinds wall to wall. I’d worked on a project along side this builder before. His idea to bring coving forward allowed for the blinds to be recessed up inside the space, hiding the tracks and giving a much more elegant look to the living room. 👌🏻

Silhouette shade installation for this timber Yurt building in West Hoathly. It’s a self contained living space, complete with lounge, bed, kitchen, bathroom and washing machine. Quite amazing use of space and was fun to work on.
