On Wednesday 14th November we attended and catered for a very special gentlemans funeral. Ron Batchelor. Ron sadly passed away aged 97.
Ron served in the Royal Artillery, he served in Burma and India and was also stationed around Kent. Ron worked for Buckingham Palace at the Queens gallery. He attended many royal occasions. He was a keen runner and ran a whopping 7 marathons and some even in full military kit!
... Ron loved a drop of whiskey and a slice of cake, he would often grab a slice of cake on route when collecting the daily paper so his wife wouldn’t find out.
Ron was a regular at Bliss Tea Rooms with his daughter Gill. We would often have lovely chats with Ron, most conversations involved Ron being very sarcastic, funny and witty, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
What a kind, generous and lovely gentleman he was. We will miss him dearly, and so pleased we had the pleasure in knowing him. Love to his family and friends.

Went here today for a full cream tea with the family. The staff were lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They were really good with the children as they made their own toppings on their cakes and lots of mess haha. The food and homemade cakes were delicious. The table set up was very pretty. Would recommend this lovely place. Thank you Bliss tea rooms.

Visited for the first time today with my three year old and we loved it! What a fantastic little gem of a place! Beautifully decorated, great menu and lovely staff. Our lunch was delicious and the cake afterwards was yummy. We will be making this our regular girls lunch on a Friday as we have an hour and fifteen minutes together in between pre school pick up and then collecting my little boy from nursery. Perfect way to spend time with my daughter and right on our doorstep too! Really want to get in for breakfast one day too having seen the menu today! Thank you xx

Tried Bliss Tea Rooms for the first time with my daughter yesterday as had been recommended to me. The tea and cakes were delishous as was the milkshake my daughter had.

I couldn't bring my other daughter whos 10 months old as it is only a small space, so no room for buggys or highchairs.

So will keep it a regular little thing between us 2. �

Took my bestie out for the Luxury Afternoon Tea selection today, absolutely loved it. Friendly shop run by Mother and Daughter. Great spread definitely worth the price. Will be recommending to my friends and returning again �

Today met Shirley, the owner of this lovely, quaint tea room for my Mothers Day treat. Shirley and I once worked together and she still goes the extra mile with sandwiches, scones and cakes that were delicious. Thank you

Popped in for lunch with my daughter. The tea room is only small but it still has a light airy feel to it.

There is a nice variety of food and it is all lovingly prepared and prices are reasonable.

Give it a try. Small businesses like this deserve to succeed.

Messaged the night before to double check access for a wheelchair, they came back to us almost immediately telling us they would move furniture around to accommodate us.

We went, we scoffed a breakfast, a luxury cream tea and our 5yo son had a sandwich. Not only was the food of a high standard, the personal service was excellent.

This is a gem in the Walderslade community and we really enjoy relaxing and having a bite to eat here.

Lovely!! Have been a few times now and never been disappointed. Living in the village and now on maternity leave I’m sure I will be visiting a lot more! Staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble

Just want to say a big thank you for a fab 'afternoon tea' with my two friends. We had a bit of a mess up with table times but my two friends had been delayed on the motorway so wasn't a problem but wasn't a problem anyway as you made me comfortable with a lovely coffee while i waited until a table came available and when it did and my two friends turned up. Perfect. The sandwiches were so fresh and tasty with a good choice and scones were warm delicious and again a choice of scone too. We couldn't even fit in the cakes after so you boxed them up for us and we took them home. Really liked that. You ladies are so friendly and lovely and let my two friends use your staff loo as they had travel quite far to see me and have tea. A lovely little tea room will be back for sure x

I went here for my birthday with my friends as an alternative to a night out! It was so lovely, a proper catch up without interruption and had the whole tea room to ourselves. The ladies who served us were very nice and topped up the tea pots and kept everything going smoothly! All the cakes, etc was all homemade and was delicious! I visited the tea rooms this morning with my two children for tea and cake. I have to say the tea rooms are lovely and so welcoming. The cake and tea we had were delicious. I would definetely recommend the mint aero chocolate cake and my children loved the china tea cups they got to use. The two ladies were lovely and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be coming back.

I ordered afternoon tea to be delivered to my house for my family, visiting us for my daughter's birthday. My order ended up being somewhat last minute, but nothing was too much trouble. The food disappeared in minutes and was loved by everyone. I couldn't have asked for better customer service, or for lovelier people to deal with. Thank you �

Had a private Afternoon Tea at Bliss with family members including children. It was fantastic! The sandwiches were so yummy, presented beautifully and lots of them. Scones were delicious with lots of cream and jam. I’m a big tea lover and there was plenty of tea and Shirley was more than happy to keep filling my teapot up � The children who were 5,4 and 3 at the time had cupcakes that they were able to decorate, they really enjoyed it and they had their own sandwiches which were cut into shapes, such a lovely thing to do. Shirley was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Cakes were yummy. We were all bursting with food when we left. 100% recommend going here. Fantastic service, fantastic food! Thank you � xx

Came here for my birthday Afternoon tea with the girls. Everyone had such a good time, nothing was too much trouble, everybody was catered for with varied diets etc. Totally recommend the Tea rooms ���

Beautiful afternoon tea! Plus made a special lunch for my fussy eater son so was all able to enjoy � highly recommend but do book as very busy!

Absolutely wonderful. I booked a last minute afternoon tea yesterday for 8 people for my little girls 4th birthday today. The lovely lady was so welcoming and accomodating and couldn't do enough to help us!! The tea room is so pretty and quaint and the food was amazing!!! Everything was fresh and delicious, the scones were even still warm. So kind to my children even made them special unicorn sandwiches! Made my little girl feel like a little grown up whilst still adapting to her tastes as a 4 year old! So pleased we went here and we will be coming back a lot in the future! A bit of a journey from where we live but well worth the travel! Also very reasonably priced. Support lovely small businesses like this they are worth their weight in gold!

Visited the tea rooms this morning for coffee with friends .... what a disappointment! This is not a good place to go for coffee lovers! The ‘flat white’ I ordered tasted like a very weak instant coffee that had no flavour at all! Not a great ambience either so won’t be returning.
