Raspberry scones with cream and raspberry jam were delicious ,selection of cakes and sandwiches excellent, coffee great and attention to detail didnt go unnoticed. Wonderful service!! Love this little tea room, always a warm welcome. I phoned very last minute for a traditional tea for 6 people for my daughters birthday, nothing was a problem, we were fitted in and the table was decorated with happy birthday confetti. Thankyou so much

We went to Bluebells for afternoon tea for my mother's birthday, and were really impressed. The food was delicious with a fantastic range of homemade cakes as well as the scones, and the staff were very attentive, and made Mum's afternoon extra special.

We have tried several tea rooms in Battle and decided to go to Bluebells. Right from the time we walked through the door we were greeted by such friendly staff, who showed us to our table. The food was delicious, my group had Jacket potato, Welsh Rarebit they all loved it. The ploughmans I had was really nice with a tasty warm baguette.

This followed by a tasty chocolate cake, Victoria sponge, Raspberry scone and bread pudding, all tasted great.

We all left very happy and all think this is the best one in Battle and we look forward to returning.

User

We had afternoon tea and everything was delicious, lovely sandwiches, warm scones and tasty cakes. The cakes were proper sliced cakes and not the silly little taster cakes you can sometimes get. A lovely warm welcome from all the staff and we were given a box to take home what we couldn't eat. The best high tea we have ever had. We will definitely be going back again.

User

Visited yesterday and had a wonderful time! The food was amazing and so was the warmth and love from the owners. We couldn’t manage the cake after the cream tea so got some boxed up to take home for later. Such a friendly reception. We will be back!

Visited today with my daughter sister in law and niece. Food was lovely I had toasted tea cake and my daughter had chocolate cake (she doesn’t normally eat cakes unless covered in icing but scoffed the lot!) service was friendly and happy and atmosphere was really relaxing would highly recommend a visit to my friends!

User

Visited here today after a recommendation from a person on the site we are staying at. Wow it did not disappoint. Lovely cafe looking over the abbey. The atmosphere and decor was inviting and welcoming. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Good selection of gluten free options and great value. Will definitely recommend to others and return if we ever visit this way again.

User

Visited for lunch today and we were most impressed: the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful and the food - all homemade - was delicious. We enjoyed our lunch so much, we went back later for afternoon tea. The cake was delicious and moist, and the raspberry scones, which were served hot from the oven, were the best scones I have ever had (and I have sampled a few scones in my time!). Highly recommended.

User

Visited Bluebells for the first time today and it was absolutely fantastic! The tearoom itself had a really cosy and homely feel to it. It was also lovely and bright with beautiful music playing in the background. Just perfect! The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The scones were so delicious, especially the raspberry ones. My husband and Nan had the Welsh rarebit which they said was very delicious and my mother in law had poached egg on toast. She said the egg was cooked to perfection.

We will definitely be back very soon. Thank you!

User

This is a fabulous tea shop and we had a lovely afternoon tea. The new owners are doing a great job and can’t do enough to make you feel welcome and meet all your needs - thank you. Can’t recommend it enough.

User

Sumptuous afternoon tea for four in a meticulous tearoom served by welcoming, friendly people. Just wish we didn’t live over two hour car journey away.

User

Stopped here purely by accident to get out of the rain but what a gem of a find!!! Perfect tea & heavenly food. The owner was a absolute delight and the coconut hand wash in the toilets another plus!! Will definitely be back & would recommend highly....scone heaven!!!

User

Our visit here on 29th May was lovely, there were 3 of us and we all had afternoon tea. My daughter is gluten intolerant and it didn't mean that she went without! Everything had a gluten free alternative. So we tucked into he most gorgeous sandwiches, and a variety of delicious cakes and scones with jam and cream. The owner Deborah kindly gave us a box to take home with the cakes that we were unable to eat as we were stuffed! I would thoroughly recommend this delightful tearoom.

User

I took my grandson for lunch, he had a chicken sandwich and banana milkshake, I had a lovely warm cheese scone. The service was so friendly and welcoming. I even bought cakes to take home which were delicious. I can highly recommend it. Will be returning.

I had lunch today at the bluebells and it was lovely. The staff and owners are very welcoming and efficient, the food is also great and with on top of that a perfect view over the castle. Great place to enjoy a spot of lunch or afternoon tea.

User

Had a lovely afternoon tea here today. So much to eat that we ended up with a doggy bag to take home! Would definitely recommend this place for cake and lunch. Great staff, relaxed atmosphere with background music too! Will be returning very soon for more delicious cake

Excellent raspberry scones served warm with jam & cream. The owner was really nice and obviously enjoyed welcoming her customers. My husband and I spent a very pleasant hour and didn’t feel rushed. Will definitely return when in the area. Thank you
