Bobbin' Along

Decided to use some of my stash and made myself a bag :D Just received my pattern for the blouse I want to try - now to bite the bullet and give it a try!!

Hi guys! I'm still quite AWOL - but still doing a bit of personal sewing. I made this for my nieces birthday recently. I have also been avidly watching Sewing Bee, and have ordered a pattern for a PussyBow Blouse - will be my first attempt at sleeves so wish me luck!!!

Hi guys!! Long time no see - sorry about that. I've had an awful lot going on in my 'other' life' (and is still ongoing :( ) and I have neglected the thing that brings me joy - creating and sewing.
I have done a few projects this year - and here they are :)
The Cats Cushion was for my mums birthday and depicts Molly & Kizzie - her two kitties <3
... The Flamingo skirt I made for a friends 50s party - yes I am modelling it, I am with my lovely friend Karen (no - I didnt make her dress!)
I made the Husky cushion for a friends birthday.
I made the Black Sheep bag for a friends birthday (I thought the black sheep would remind her of me ;) )
So - I am still sewing - just a lot less at the moment. I am slowly getting back to it though.

Now Christmas has come and gone, I can show you this bottle bag I made for my Nan (it was filled with Silent pool Distillers gin) - she loved both the bag AND the contents :D (y)

I've been hard at work in my shed today! Finished this cushion. It says 'Maggie' in braille across the top, and I used 9 hole buttons so I could stitch on each button with the letter it represented. That was hard work! But with a bit of creative use with a torch I managed to see where to stick the needle!! :D

Had a fun (but freezing) day at the Bourne Valley Garden Centre Christmas Food and Craft Fair today. Had a loooooong soak in the bath to warm up once I got home. Now in me fleecy PJs with a warming glass of wine :D

I've been so busy at my day job that I havent had time to do everything I wanted to do for tomorrow. So tonight I have been busy with the printer and selloptape! Price tags now made for the Christmas Food & Craft Market at Bourne Valley Garden Centre - open to the public TOMORROW - 10.30 - 3.30! Hope to see some of you there :D

Finally got up the motivation to attempt some sewing today! I only made this - then realised that the battery in the camera was dead - so excuse the bad pic - it was taken on my phone!

I found out today that my friends and neighbours lost their lovely dog, Seamus on Friday :( I've never made a Border Collie before, but I wanted to make them something they could keep and remember him by - I hope I did him justice :(

Well the Mesh gig was last night, so I have worn my top and can show you how it turned out :D Bonus pic of me with Rich from Mesh (y) I had the fabric printed, using one of the 'road' signs from the album artwork. The paper aeroplanes were used as artwork from the single released with the album. Lots or real paper planes were thrown last night :D I also appliqued the band name onto the reflective fabric to make it stand out, and appliqued the whole thing to the front (that was fiddly!)
