Hello, this is me! No fancy camera tricks or make up! (Not much anyway 😉 ) As a sports massage therapist I am a little bit surprised by the different levels of training and skills for the same qualification. For example, some sports massage courses are a 1 day practical with lots of on line training and once completed are fully qualified practitioners.
... Does this make a therapist competent or skilled?
I personally studied 1 day a week for a year and completed over 100 hrs of practical massage to get to a Level 4 sports massage practitioner (VTCT), As well as completing Anatomy & physiology training. I have also worked in the health care sector for over 12 years so have a pretty good idea with regards to the human body.

I am a Level 4 qualified Sports massage therapist. If you have a problem with your neck, back, hips, shoulders, knees, elbows or wrists then I can assess you and perform a range of special tests to get to the root cause of your problem. A plan can then be laid out and treatment performed using STR, MET, trigger point, friction and myofacial release. Advise on referral can also be given if needed. A range of strengthening exercises and recovery advice will also be given.... Whether you’re a sports person, or work an office job this type of massage can be extremely beneficial in repairing your issues and promoting a good recovery from injury. Sports massage can also be very helpful in stress relief and relaxation, it doesn’t have to be painful when receiving sports massage treatments.
