Well where do I begin ... we had the most amazing High Tea the food was not only a work of art to look at but an absolute delight to the taste buds ..I would highly recommend you try this and have told countless people already due to the amazing experience my partner and I enjoyed ..Thankyou and very well done xx

This was a lovely place , great staff , great food and a humongous gin menu � . So good we went back twice in one day . Was lovely to meet the new owners . When we are back on the island we will be back .

Just had afternoon tea, absolutely brilliant, best ever and so well presented, we are still here as everyone was so friendly we stayed to listen to the band who are incredible! The Rockafellas!! �

Just had a fantastic cream tea with prosecco. Loads of food, beautifully presented & the staff couldn't do enough for us.

If you haven't been recently then ignore the bad reviews, as the new owners have turned it around.

The gin bar upstairs looks amazing too!

If you love a gin, this is the place, Donna and her bar staff are so friendly with a fantastic sense of humour and she has a lovely bar dog.

Had a fabulous party in the room upstairs over the weekend. I'd definitely recommend the room itself - it has its own bar! Our buffet was excellent and the owners couldn't have done more for us.

I usually really enjoy Bottega and have had better cocktails here than anywhere else in the island. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere inside is great. Unfortunately, last night the live entertainment was way too loud. Personally I really liked the singer's voice but it was clear there was a manager/friend at the bar encouraging her to turn the backing music ever higher and by the time she started the second part of her set the group of 12 I was with could no longer stand the assault on our ear drums so we left.

I would think twice about going in now if there is live music on if Bottega can't judge the balance between background backing music and ear splitting din.

Had two high tea vouchers to be used as have always enjoyed the high teas at bottega (I think it's overpriced if not on offer). Tried to call for two weeks and sent a Facebook message initially - still no reply! To hear they were open on Saturday night is quite sad really. I ended up calling the price is Wight for a refund on the vouchers as I assumed they'd closed down which clearly isn't the case. Customer service really needs improvement.

Very polite service. High tea at 12 pounds per person, was very poor. Honestly, it was not worth half that price. Sandwiches toppings were basic and bland. Just a smattering of salmon on two slices was the only tasty bit, but had some poor mayo type with it. The cakes looked reasonable, but had the quality of defrosted Iceland products. My son wouldn't eat anything and he's not fussy with cake.

The tea pot was pleasant, so a star for that.

Avoid that High tea. I'd try the scones if I was to go again. But I probably won't.

Wish I had read the other reviews first We had the high tea, and the sandwiches were disgusting. I'm fine with egg mayonnaise but my friend wasn't , and the cottage cheese just stuck your mouth together. Bought it for £12 per person but it wasn't worth it. If that should have been £25 per person it would have been a complete insult

Went for high tea with my mum and it was rubbish! Unless your a massive egg mayo fan (which me and mum aren't!) it's not worth the pennies! Staff friendly enough, just the food its self let it down! 10 slices of toasted bread with just a choice of either egg mayo of plain cream cheese - boring! The only yummy bit was the small amount of smoked salmon on three bits of cut baguette, and the cakes looked yummy but tasted very dry.

Don't think we will go again, such a shame ☹️🍰🍓

Well when u come all the way over to isle of Wight on international gin day to go to bottega's gin parlour on a Saturday and they are closed...... Good way of doing business!

Total crap... drinks menu that doesnt include anything in stock. An extensive cocktail menu that they don’t do because ‘they are too time consuming and not everyone knows how to make them’ asked for the flavoured lemonade they don’t have them... asked why they have a menu if they don’t have anything on it... answer was a shrug and’ I don’t know’ and a walk off... funny funny... came for birthday cocktails.. never again ��

Shambles! Disgusting dirty place, Rude staff and over priced drinks Toilets smelt dreadful and awkward to get to. Will NOT be going there again ��

If you don’t pay the musicians, we will run you out of business

I won't be going back until I hear that Nick Page has been paid and given an apology for the awful language used to abuse him after he was refused payment for his set!

Booked a table online turned up today and the place is closed. No sign of anyone very disappointing.
