10 years ago I'd just won it ... it has been a journey to use an over-used phrase ...
I loved cooking fine dining food but I entered the show looking to open a little neighbourhood cafe and I've come full circle the last couple of years @bramblecafe , Customers today have been in to show us new grandchild pictures, share biopsy results (clear) and generally share part of their lives with us, good and sad ... food and catering means so much more than just cooking a plate of food and its a privalege to part of it, thank you @masterchefuk for helping me on that path !

Love making terrines and paté ... the simplest is a chicken liver, buttery, flambè brandy, dijon, pepper and salty paté ... just delicious and on our evening menu this month ... hopefully a portion left for supper tomorrow night 😊

What a lovely visit we had today, Karl had the Victoria sponge and Callum had the lemon drizzle, which was still warm, lovely place lovely food lovely staff, can't wait to book our evening menu looks Scrummy xxx

We had a superb meal at Bramble on Saturday night un rushed and totally relaxing. We were well looked after by Mat and Katy. So much so we had to return this morning for breakfast!

We attended for an evening meal and the service and food were excellent. It is fantastic to have former Masterchef winner Matt Follas hosting an establishment in Dorchester. Not because he is a celeb but because he can cook. A great range of locally sourced foods presented in style and bursting with flavour. Allergies? No Problem. All dietary restrictions can be catered for on request. We had gluten free and sugar free in our party but since everything is cooked fresh it is no problem. Seating is limited to 25 heads so book early to avoid disappointment.

Was really looking forward to trying Bramble and it lived up to my expectations. Nice atmosphere, friendly attentive staff, beautifully cooked food and the best brownie I've ever tasted! Looking forward to returning to try the Sunday roast soon!

To say I was excited about eating at the Bramble Cafe & Deli last night is an understatement: I'm delighted to say that my high expectations were exceeded. The setting, the service, the food, the wine... all totally superb. And value for money - outstanding. We are so lucky having this gem on our doorstep, we'll definitely be back! The Espresso was fantastic and the Chocolate & Cherry Brownie was the best brownie I've ever had! The staff were lovely and the shop was beautifully understated and cosy! Definately worth going out your way for, and we came from Poole! ;-)

Superb !!! Myself and a rather under the weather 13 month old Hattie May popped in for coffee on the wettest vilest morning ever !!! Fabulous place and one of Mats' specially made strawberry milkshakes served in its own little milk bottle put colour back in her cheeks !! As for the carrot cake ??? It's to DIE for !!! Can't wait to re visit !! �� xx

Massive thank you to all the team at Bramble for putting on an amazing meal on our wedding day. The food was absolutely gorgeous and we can't fault a thing. They were massively accommodating & a pleasure to deal with & nothing was too much trouble. It topped off our day perfectly & we would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you all so much for all you did for us & for rounding off a brilliant day. Mr & Mrs H x

Lovely lunch out with my friend..delicious roasted garlic and tomato macaroni cheese,followed by carrot cake (I'll never eat all that !!but I did ).lovely atmosphere and great service...and my goodness my cheese cravings well and truly sorted �

Lovely cafe, well priced, most delicious rarebit and mocha coffee I've had. Lovely young girl serving us....and icing on the cake, I found out it's doggie friendly! Perfick!

Had a wonderful meal here with my wife. The food is excellent and Mat is a wonderful host greeting you with a kind smile and also taking the time to come to our table for a chat at the end of a lovely evening. The waitresses were equally as welcoming and the pace of the evening was perfect.

Great evening yesterday at one of Mat’s cooking classes at Bramble cafe. Lovely informal atmosphere where Mat shared his extensive knowledge. Might even make my own mayonnaise and hollandaise now 😊. Evening was rounded off by a lovely meal.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Slow roasted lamb, cooked beautifully. Generous portions of roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and green veg, with a large Yorkshire pud to top it off. Plenty of gravy too! Desert was hot chocolate brownie, with salted caramel sauce, and ice cream. One of the best deserts I have had in a long time. Service is always friendly and efficient, even at busy times. Thoroughly recommend:-)

Can not believe this beautiful cafe is on my door step. Excellent service great food. Taking children their for roast one week-end!

Came with my partner for the gin making course and meal, food and service was just amazing! As designated driver, I can't wait to test the gins in a few weeks! We'll worth the trip from Portsmouth, will be returning for sure

Bramble cafe was the meeting point for our foraging course. It was a brilliant day, learnt lots of new things and gathered some very valuable information. Then a perfect end to a lovely day......a very tasty 3 course meal! Wild garlic soup, baked macaroni cheese and tomato with a lovely green salad and Eton Mess with a selection of berries. Thank you Mat, we really enjoyed ourselves!

A thoroughly relaxing evening with the most amazing food and drink!

To be honest I was disappointed, especially given the pedigree. Service was friendly but coffee cake was dry and flat white averagely made. Finca and Nicks Place in Godmanstone are much better. Then perhaps Bramble isn't really a coffee and cake cafe...I'll try having a meal there next time.
