We had our wedding reception at the hotel on 16th June. The staff were so attentive, polite, professional and friendly. Our wedding breakfast was relaxed and everything ran smoothly. The hotel has a good layout for a wedding with the Terrace Suite, lounge and patio area all close together so our guests could easily mingle. Most of guests stayed the night and we were able to enjoy an excellent group buffet breakfast the next morning. Thanks for helping us to have a wonderful wedding weekend, Jo & Johnny Sheppard

Just got home from spending an overnight spa break for my mum’s birthday. Had a fantastic relaxing time. The staff really made our experience, they were absolutely lovely and very accommodating with our fussy needs. Thank you so much.

I work at one of Brandshatch's sister hotels (Woodlands Park Hotel) and brought my two adult daughters for an overnight stay. We had an amazing time. Afternoon tea was lovely and our evening meal was spot on. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back.

I had a lovely stay here with a corporate company recently. The staff were friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. In particular Michelle on reception who tried her best to fulfill a request I had. After being told it couldn't be done, she went out of her way at 10pm to make it happen. I'd definitely stay here again.

Had a spa day with my daughter. It was originally booked for the beginning of March as a Birthday treat for me but had to re schedule because of the snow. The massages we both had were amazing, afternoon tea was really nice & plenty of it & the people serving it were very friendly & welcoming. Everyone we met was very friendly & made it a lovely relaxing day. Look forward to another birthday treat!

User

First time I have been here, stayed for a friend's birthday and I could not fault it. Friendly staff, amazing food, rooms are clean and comfortable and the spa was amazing. I can definitely recommend a hot stone massage. Loved the extra touches the hotel made for my friends birthday too, thank you I will be back.

Attended for a wedding. Superb attention from the moment we walked through the door. They had been notified in advance about my food intolerances and went out of their way to provide excellent food

5* all round

User

A wonderful little gem in the kent countryside, staff amazing, food delicious, the room (10) spacious clean bright and airy.. the bath I didn't want to get out of.. there is a spa and swimming pool.. and for the ladies an exotic room to relax and chill out...well worthy of my 5 stars

User

A hidden gem, beautiful grounds and food, our server Ellie was fantastic!

Cannot wait to come back x

User

We were there for my cousins wedding so didn't actually stay or use the spa but seemed very nice. One complaint..would be nice to have loos on the same level as the bar,as my Mum is of limited mobility(she can't use the lift as she is scared of them after a bad experience) so the stairs were challenging!

User

My friends and I attended an event hear recently to see The Untouchables. The welcome by staff was lovely the room in which we were in was lovely!

The toilets were a bit grubby the staff serving refreshments talked and made nosies throughput the ‘show’ .

The Untouchables wasn’t worth the £20 quid!

My daughter & her partner invited us to view as a potential wedding venue it is now off the list! It is a lovely setting the property is dated & so over priced some staff & management need PR skills ! We were looking forward to our booked evening meal in the restaurant but unfortunately the service was so poor we went to the bar to eat very disappointed !Receptionist & spa treatments fab ! I have never known a prosecco to be measured seriously & do not even order a double gin & tonic ridiculous prices !!!

User

Spent £60 on a cream to come home and find the bottle was empty. When I called and explained I get told to email and someone will look into it! I don’t want to wait a week for a replacement!!! I have been transferred to voicemails and now they are not bothering to answer their phone. To add salt to the wound, I have been told “we don’t sell empty products!”. Feel like I have been robbed! Don’t waste your money going here! The sandwich I ordered for lunch was also stale. Happy Birthday to me!!!!

User

I booked a spa day through handpicked hotels for my mums Birthday. I purchased an afternoon tea spa day with 1 treatment. It wasn’t cheap, but that’s what you expect when you see the “services” they have on offer..

My mum organised the day with the hotel directly. The direction was “turn up after 9am” no further information was given. On the day, Mum called the hotel and told them that we wouldn’t be there until 10.30 as there was heavy snow and we were travelling in from a distance, I was travelling in from Essex and my mum was driving down from Eastbourne in East Sussex. She was told it wasn’t an issue.

We turned up at 10.30, walked in and was greeted by a woman at the reception. However when I say greeted, the first thing she said to us was that “you’ve missed your massage, it was at 10am” this was complete news to both me and my mum.. we were then sat down by a different member of staff and told that they couldn’t put us in anywhere else as they were fully booked and all comments would be passed on to the manager who was in the following day.

We had a nice day dispite the lack of communication from the hotel/spa and their lack of customer service in communicating this to us when we arrived.. however the next day when we got home (Tuesday) Mum contacted the hotel to be told that actually the manager wasn’t in and would be back Thursday. So I’m not surprised that the staff can’t communiate with the public when the management can’t be clear when they are going to be in or not?! Not only was the manager “not available” but the hotel manager was also not available to raise an issue or concern with. How convieniant..

In all complete honesty this experience was a complete let down. My mum has been suffering with her health and it was something I had booked to treat her with. We went the day before my 30th birthday and quite honestly I wish I hadn’t bothered. I could have had a better day with my mum elsewhere. To top matters off, my mum has complained and Cc’d Management in but surprise surprise has had no response. I’m utterly disgusted with the lack of communication this company provides. Don’t waste your time or money. I’ve had better customer service in Aldi.
