We were at BB on Sunday evening for dinner,with friend and family for dinner,it was our 40th wedding anniversary.We were made to feel welcome, and served by friendly efficient staff,and had a wonderful roast dinner,succulent beef, and pork with crackling,and delicious puddings and a naughty glass of limoncello ! A friendly and relaxed evening.

We went there yesterday for the first time.

The starter was excellent as well as the lamb.

The pistachio soufflé is my absolute favourite. Perfect way to spend Mother's Day. The friendly staff couldn't have been more helpful. �

Phoned up at half 5 and just managed to get a table after attending gin festival in Oxford. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Had a fab dinner and the most amazing pistachio soufflé ever known, amazed to find out dessert chef was only 20 ... Definitely will be returning 😀

We were a party of five last night. We all ordered beef of some sort but two of our steaks came well done when we had asked for medium- well. Waiter immediately acknowledged this indeed to be the case and offered solutions. We had no time as were rushing to a concert after. Every side dish was delicious, the breads, aperitifs, and starters all super. And the most divine dessert ever! 5* and happy to give it.

I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. Easy to book online, food was delicious. Fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. Good choice on the menus including drinks, food and desserts. Service was good, prices as expected, lovely atmosphere and decor and friendly staff.

Had a lovely meal, this was a Christmas gift from a friend liver parfait and cornish matured burger were great think a third piece of toast is needed with liver parfait so you don't have to stack it. Burger was really good more than enough. Thanks to all staff for a great service.

Fabulous meal last night food excellent. Staff great even thought we could only get a table for 8:45 restaurant was very busy and the staff still smiling , everything we asked for served with a smile.

Raymond you should be proud of them all ,it was a long way to come for a meal 240 miles but worth it we will be back.

Couldn’t have asked for better... we were very surprised and impressed by the food (set menu for just under £12.00). Our waitress was one of the most friendly and kind I have ever met in UK! We will definetely go back soon.

Absolutely wonderful meal.

It was our anniversary so my husband and I came here for dinner. All the meals that were presented to us were superbly finished. They tasted amazing and our compliments go out to the chef. The ambience was lovely and personal. The staff are polite and nothing seemed to be much trouble.

We had a fantastic evening.



P.s, The French onion soup was out of this world. �

Would have given it 5 stars as our mains and deserts were excellent but surprisingly both our starters were second rate not what you would expect from a blanc establishment or the lead in to a good feed. My cheese soufle was eggy and served more like a twice baked soufle. My partners crispy beef was cold and so crispy you could almost break your teeth..... lovely venue.... staff and remaining courses saved the score taking it from 2 to 4

Went Saturday with family members and all 7 of us had the 3 course set menu. We all found the food to be excellent and great value for money. Waiting staff were great with fast and efficient service. It's fairly safe to say that we will return.

Mussels were good. Chicken liver parfait good too but more toast needed. Cod excellent and lamb ragou also. Very impressed.

Lovely, polite staff. Really delicious food which was well-presented. Have already made the next booking!

Went on Sunday with my wife & two sons. Staff attentive & professional.

May b the chef just can't do roast? My beef & my sons Chicken roast were poor. Potatoes barely cooked along with the other veg! My wife & other son enjoyed theirs - but whats so difficult about getting a roast right???

Manager did react in the right way but it spoilt a relaxed Sunday afternoon.

After another lovely breakfast, the bill made me really angry and the waitress argued with me over a tea bag which they charged us £2.60 for. We asked for two pots of tea in total, which came to £7.80. When I queried this I was told that she had put two tea bags in the first pot and one in the second she could not justify her own answer and instead got quite rude. I made the decision to just pay and not leave a tip, which is a rarity for me.�����

I will not be going there for breakfast again ever, unless I get an apology to my letter for such atrocious service. Really really disappointed.......
