The guy that served us was fantastic. Very polite and nothing was too much for him to do! Only issue I had (and so did the Barman) was the low ceilings I almost hit my head a few times! But was able to have a joke with the barman about this!! Didn’t catch his name but would of like to say thank you to him for his great service

Thank you Emma and all,for taking all 10 of us in last minute, very friendly and lovely meal

Have been a few times in last couple of weeks, with various people family, friends work colleagues, food has all been really good, along with good service. Staff very friendly professional & welcoming nothing is too much trouble. We usually book online & don't have any problems. We have been going here for over 30 years & will continue to do so while food & service is so good. Thank you to all the staff at Bridge Barn Woking.

Breakfast great as usual we go every month after our run and are never disappointed always have a great waitress Saturday mornings who really looks after us

User

We have visited this restaurant quite often recently, never really had a problem, we visited last night with our family table for 7 we all had an excellent meal, the staff were excellent in a very busy restaurant, service was very good, couldn't fault it in anyway.

User

This was the second time I been here, service was good, food was really nice I had a roast dinner the only let down was there was not a variety of vegetables, apart from the potatoes it was only runner beans could of added some carrots or cauliflower or something. But overall it wasn't too bad.

User

The meal was good

There were a few hiccups I asked for ordinary fries and got skinny ones

The kids meals came with unlimited chips they chose skinny with their meal on asking for more we were told they could only have regular chips this was later rectified it seems here was a communication problem somewhere apart from that I'm well satisfied

Everything was cooked and presented well

A lot of desserts weren't available that were on the menu including many of our favourites

Staff were helpful and attentive

Place was clean and tidy however I've never seen anything different in a beefeater so this is the norm

In short good all round

We found s discount code on line which saved £28.80 on our bill very good

suggestions

Redesign menu printing whoever thought white writing on a green background was a good idea should be poked in the eyes and then made to try and read it!

And beefeater needs to up its game on the dessert menu with some new exciting choices as it's looking a bit tired

Too expensive, but then it all is in Woking. A very busy night (Saturday 12 Aug) coupled with poor staff management made for orders for bar food downstairs being suspended for a while The food Friday night was nice, the get-it-your-self cutlery/condiment arrangement is not a great idea, maybe another lectern or different approach could be adopted. Otherwise a nice pleasant pub/restaurant next to a canal walk to stroll off your dessert

I have been coming here for about 20yrs on and off. It has always been my go to place for lunch and dinner with friends and family. The recent refurb has made the place look rather cold and soulless. The food has sadly also not been up to par recently. Service was slow on last visit not their fault as not many of them on duty. Sadly unless things improve this will no longer be my first choice of venue.

Have been a few times in the last couple of months and it has really gone downhill - not enough staff - they try their best but a lot of waiting for drinks and food. Prawn cocktail had hardly any sauce. The mains were quite dry so had been sitting under the hot plate for too long. Ran out of a few things including fillet steak and we arrived at 5 o'clock - was nice having a voucher but would have thought knowing more people would come there would be more people serving and plenty of steak being that Beefeater means steak! Very disappointing.

We decided to go back to this pub tonight as we used to go there as teenagers - haven’t been back in years.

Words can’t really tell you how disappointed we were.

The bar and waiting staff were so rude - arguing with each other in-front of customers. When it was finally my turn to order and pay I got told off for paying across card and cash split bill, and when I asked for a copy of the receipt I was told “you might as well be speaking Chinese to me - I ain’t got a clue.”

I never got the receipt from the bar staff.

Food was late and terrible too.

Such a shame - used to be wonderful.

It’s not often I write negative reviews and hardly ever with the words inept, disrespectful and incompetent - but for this place - it’s now fitting.

The staff have an attitude problem which needs fixing right away.

The food was a disappointment,we have had better there the staff need to get some manners the lady that served us for breakfast should not be in front of house everything was an effort the boy was polite, this is my third bad visit there will not be going back,I didn't want to this time but my mum and dad were staying there and we met for breakfast, four very unhappy customers

Service was awful. Took ages to get a seat and asked if we had a reservation although the whole restaurant was empty. We were then seated next to the toilets of all places. We finally ordered some drinks although the table next to us who had arrived after got their drinks first. We then ordered our food, I had the ‘potato dippers’ to start which were microved crisps with the smallest amount of cheese on which is was massively dissapointing. We got our mains which weren’t the largest portion but weren’t terrible although we ordered onions rings on the side and didn’t even get them. We waited about 20 minutes for our table to be cleared after finishing our meal, we looked around for a member of staff but there was no one to be seen. Finally paid to bill and couldn’t get out quick enough, once we got back to the car there was a sign telling us that the restaurant would give us a ticket to get out of the car park for free other wise we would’ve had to pay. We went back to the restaurant and waited at the bar for 10 minutes for someone to speak to us despite there being 3 members of staff behind the bar. We then saw the women who served us and asked about the parking ticket, she said we didn’t need one and the barrier would open on its own.

What a waste of time and money, definitely will not be going back.

It’s a shame we couldn’t give less than 1 star.

Outside seating eating area was shite, lots of rubbish, dog ends and menu’s in the floor. Bird shit on the tables in covered area! Kids play area was taped off but no signage ! Would not recommend to eat alfresco but food was OK. Service was iffy as you gave a table number to order but the server kept coming out with food and not knowing who it was for!! Overall poor ! Wouldn’t recommend will not return.

My girlfriends and I have been coming a few years now for a Christmas meal. This was the first time that I feel I have to write a review.

On the 18/12 we came for our meal all excited...it wasn't a busy night. If I remover correctly perhaps 4/5 staff on duty. At the start our waiter, I forgot his name, told us that there a few things that you didn't have....cool. He took our drink orders and away he went. We waited long. Then the waitress came to take drinks orders(no communication between staff) Told her we ordered and were still waiting so she followed up.

Then our starters arrived, great! 4 of us had prawn cocktail and I had duck pate. It came with normal white bread. It should all come with ciabatta. We asked and was told oh did they not tell you, we don't have. I didn't want plain white bread with pate so I asked for toast. A friend tucked into her prawn cocktail and bit on a piece of shell. It was crab shell. We called the waitress and told her, she did oh did they not tell you you might find shell in your crab......REALLY!!!! She could have cracked her crown.

It was cold in the area we were sat in and I had to ask for the heating to be turned on.

It took ages for them to clear starter plates because the mains were coming and we told the girl who brought the mains (who by the way had one hand wrapped up so could only use one hand) can the starter plates be cleared first please? She didn't look to pleased at the request. One by one she cleared it because of her hand. Anyway she then brought mains. I had the salmon and it was very enjoyable.

I felt we were being rushed towards the end, we were the last, but well within the closing time.

The food was enjoyable but the staff not so much.

We were charged for a bottle of prosecco for which at the start of the meal I told them I had a code for. So bill had to be amended.

I was very disappointed with the service and staff. I may have to find and alternate place to dine next Christmas which is such a shame.

User

Horrendous. Beefeater on a whole has gone right down hill. Use to be very good! Good quality. Over recent times its under staffed, dirty, the benches outside are all broken they are so old and have moss and bird poo on them. The waitress doesn’t know what food is for what table. She brings out the mains with the starters.... because we clearly want to stack food on top of each other. There’s more oil in the food than there is in Saudi Arabia. All in all very poor and very badly managed. Won’t be coming again for a long time

User

Have been visiting here quite often over the last few years. Over bank holiday weekend they told my father his card payment did not go through and made him pay again. After turn 3 it became a joke to find that all.payments had gone through. He was told that management would call him to arrange this refund. Each time he called they were not available, when they did call he was told they would arrange refund with head office. Over a week later and still no refund, 3 pints has cost him nearly 40.pounds. waiting this long for a refund is an absolute joke and not acceptable. Certainly won't be going back to bridge barn

User

Great hotel but shocking Beefeater restaurant. Badly cooked food, either under done or over cooked, dry as left under lights too long, things missing off plates. Poor service at both dinner and breakfast. The two poor waitresses at breakfast rushed off their feet so buffet not replenished or cleaned down at all. So letting the hotel down - plenty more complaints about the restaurant so not just us having a bad day!

User

Decided to visit after a long absence due to poor service in the past. Well we were disappointed again!

I understand that Saturday nights can be busy, but was frustrated that, having ordered at the bar, one of the waiters came back after 20 minutes to tell me that the sirloin steak I had ordered was no longer available, but they would "upgrade" it to a rump steak. The rump steak was in fact £2 cheaper - so not much of an upgrade!

I decided to change my order to a rib eye as my partner was having the same - couldn't upgrade to that as they "were already loosing loads of money"!!. Half an hour later, went back to the bar to order more drinks and asked how long it takes to cook two medium rare steaks. All I got was a knowing look from the guy behind the bar - who, it transpired after asking three times to speak to a manager was in fact the manager. Eventually, as the manager, he came to our table and was apologetic, but fairly and squarely placed the blame on the kitchen manager.

The steaks - whilst cooked as we had requested, were not recognisable as rib eye, nor as any other type of steak on the menu. The kitchen manager came to the table and blamed the lack of options on the fact that the deliveries were not made correctly, and on an offer that Beefeater were running that he was not aware of!

Come on Beefeater - your speciality is supposed to be steak, and I know that this is not the level of service throughout your chain.

Please, give the customer facing staff the chance of being able to make people happy rather than having the opportunity to blame all and any faceless people within your supply chain, and if they are still in this position, change the staff!

Given that at least two pubs local to this would have served a much better steak that was being offered here, we will choose to pay the extra £2 and frequent these bars instead.

All in all, a rather disappointing evening. We will not return

User

The guy that served us was fantastic. Very polite and nothing was too much for him to do! Only issue I had (and so did the Barman) was the low ceilings I almost hit my head a few times! But was able to have a joke with the barman about this!! Didn’t catch his name but would of like to say thank you to him for his great service

User

Thank you Emma and all,for taking all 10 of us in last minute, very friendly and lovely meal

Have been a few times in last couple of weeks, with various people family, friends work colleagues, food has all been really good, along with good service. Staff very friendly professional & welcoming nothing is too much trouble. We usually book online & don't have any problems. We have been going here for over 30 years & will continue to do so while food & service is so good. Thank you to all the staff at Bridge Barn Woking.

User

User

Too expensive, but then it all is in Woking. A very busy night (Saturday 12 Aug) coupled with poor staff management made for orders for bar food downstairs being suspended for a while The food Friday night was nice, the get-it-your-self cutlery/condiment arrangement is not a great idea, maybe another lectern or different approach could be adopted. Otherwise a nice pleasant pub/restaurant next to a canal walk to stroll off your dessert

User

I have been coming here for about 20yrs on and off. It has always been my go to place for lunch and dinner with friends and family. The recent refurb has made the place look rather cold and soulless. The food has sadly also not been up to par recently. Service was slow on last visit not their fault as not many of them on duty. Sadly unless things improve this will no longer be my first choice of venue.

User

Have been a few times in the last couple of months and it has really gone downhill - not enough staff - they try their best but a lot of waiting for drinks and food. Prawn cocktail had hardly any sauce. The mains were quite dry so had been sitting under the hot plate for too long. Ran out of a few things including fillet steak and we arrived at 5 o'clock - was nice having a voucher but would have thought knowing more people would come there would be more people serving and plenty of steak being that Beefeater means steak! Very disappointing.

User

User

The food was a disappointment,we have had better there the staff need to get some manners the lady that served us for breakfast should not be in front of house everything was an effort the boy was polite, this is my third bad visit there will not be going back,I didn't want to this time but my mum and dad were staying there and we met for breakfast, four very unhappy customers

User

User

Outside seating eating area was shite, lots of rubbish, dog ends and menu’s in the floor. Bird shit on the tables in covered area! Kids play area was taped off but no signage ! Would not recommend to eat alfresco but food was OK. Service was iffy as you gave a table number to order but the server kept coming out with food and not knowing who it was for!! Overall poor ! Wouldn’t recommend will not return.
