Brighton Booch Description

I started my fermenting journey back in 2007, when I became interested in raw foods. I had become very bored of cooking standard food and was looking for a challenge. I loved making raw foods and ferments as it was totally new to me. I started to get more energy and vitality from eating such pure and healthy food. I began to delve into the fermenting world and started with Kombucha. I used to brew about ten litres in a big plastic tub which you buy from the garden centre. I drank quite a lot! Then someone gave me some water kefir grains and I fell in love with them. Kefir is a lot more easy going on the body and can be drunk in large quantities without much healing crisis, whereas Kombucha is a healing tonic. From there I ventured into fermented foods such as Kimchi and sauerkraut. I loved them so much I even ate them for breakfast! My son who was about one at the time also ate and drank all the ferments which I was making. He was a big fan as is my younger son who is now two. He loves all the drinks and the red sauerkraut. I have been teaching fermenting workshops for about four years which has given me a really good knowledge and background for making my own products. So many of my friends and family were saying to me that I should sell my ferments so I thought Yes! and went about setting up my business. We have named it Love Ferments as we really do love ferments and fermenting. I hope you enjoy my products too.
