Brighton Dreadlocks

Hey guys, I'm on holiday in Devon this week so will take a little longer to get back to messages. Back on Sunday ☀️

Well this was fun to create the other day! Lots of hair wraps made straight into the hair (wrapped around platts) using a mixture of fabric,hemp string and wool in pastel colours to match the rest of the hair. Great way to add colour! 🦄🦋🌸

Here is Jess's extensions i did a couple months back, she has nice thick hair with good length so we got lots of decent size dreads. A bit of a hard colour to match but in the end we attached light ash blonde extensions which created a nice ombre effect. 🧚‍♂️

Fluer's dreads from scratch I did a couple months ago. She had a couple dreads already. Another example of long healthy hair meaning she didn't loose to much length and no extensions were needed. Removable Hair wraps!! Double ended hair wraps that braid into normal hair or slip onto dreads. Made from fabric and hemp so they should last along time. The benefit of them being removable is that you can take them out when washing your hair, prolonging their lifespan. These are available at appointments now and will be on Etsy soon, i know many of you lovely lot have purchased removable hair wraps already and would love to see photos of you wearing them in the comments section below :D

Hair wraps!!! wrapping wool or fabric around a dread or a platt/braid (for normal hair) I have a ridiculous amount of wool/fabric/hemp and trinkets that i've collected over the years and its great to put it to use! A great way to decorate your dreads adding colour with each one ending up completely unique. Available through appointments.

Love spending dready time with my good friend Elise from York maintenance dreads when she comes down to visit. I started her dreads about 5 years ago and she's adapted them in many different ways over the years with undercuts and colour. Recently she's been growing out the side of her hair so I could attach extensions and freshen up the colour. Elise also did a great job dying my dreads from ombré brown/blonde to an awesome deep pink, both using directions hair dye. Here's the before and after pics: 🦄

Emily is super fast and super gentle ! I was so about the crochet method because of breakage, I was pleasantly suprised that no breakage happened at all! Emily is really easy to talk to and she did a beautiful job with my hair, so good that I'm going to come back and get a more dreads put in !
