The Big ENORMOUS Present It’s big, it’s huge, it’s.......................ENORMOUS! A mysterious present has appeared in the school playground. Who can it possibly be for? Jack, Dot or Polly? What could be waiting inside? Find out in this 50 minute play for the age range 3-8. The Big ENORMOUS Present explores the pressures of fitting in, where we find happiness and how giving can sometimes feel as good as receiving.......... Adrian Hayes – ‘One Man’s Climb’ Presentation and Book Signing Event. Supported by Wilkins Kennedy - Accountants & Business Advisers
Record-breaking British adventurer Adrian Hayes’ new book ‘One Man’s Climb: A Journey of Trauma, Tragedy and Triumph on K2’ has just had its UK release, foreword by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, and we welcome your attendance to a special presentation and book signing event here at Brockenhurst Village Hall.
The book covers Adrian’s recent profound attem...pts on the world’s notorious second-highest mountain, K2, which is widely regarded as the greatest challenge in high altitude mountaineering on the planet. However, the book (and presentation) is as much a lesson in human development, real teamwork and our lives in the world below as it is a story of climbing a very dangerous mountain, and will appeal to men and women (and teenagers) of all ages and persuasions.
Timings for evening: (From) 6.30 pm Reception; 7 – 8 pm Presentation and Q & A; 8 pm onwards book signings and drinks.
Adrian Hayes is a Lymington based record-breaking polar explorer and adventurer, author, speaker, business coach, documentary presenter and sustainability campaigner. An Arabic and Nepalese speaking former British Army Gurkha Officer, who also spent two years as part of the Special Forces, he has conquered Everest, K2, the North and South Poles, the length of Greenland by kite-ski and the Arabian Desert by camel amidst a lifetime of adventure, setting two Guinness World Records, writing two books, and featuring in three documentaries to date.

We had our wedding reception here on the 30th July. Staff were incredibly helpful, meeting with us regularly to discuss our needs, giving us lots of ideas in regards to decorating the hall, very flexible and always quick to respond to any emails/phone calls. We hired the building for the day, which was extremely good value and meant we had a blank canvas to decorate how we wished. The updated lighting and optional canopy really transformed it into a wedding venue and you can't beat a drive through the New Forest to get there! We would highly recommend this venue!!

We had our wedding a Brockenhurst Village Hall and were blown away by the attention to detail and warm welcome of the staff. We totally transformed the hall using an internal canopy and it meant I had total freedom to create my vision. Definitely better than a formal wedding venue were you need to use their caterer/bar/florist etc. The hall is perfect for a creative bride who wants the freedom to build magic. Everyone I spoke to at Brockenhurst was really responsive by email and helpful on every little question I had. On the set up, wedding, and tear down day they were attentive and available way over and above what was included. Couldn't recommend them enough!!

User
